Why All The Measles Outbreaks…

CNN Article: U.S. measles cases in 2013 may be most in 17 years

So apparently “this year is on track to be the worst for measles in more than a decade…..and
….wait for it…..wait for it….yep, of course….. AND
“people who refuse to vaccinate their children are behind the increasing number of outbreaks, health officials say”

Of course! It is ALWAYS the unvaccinated. And the answer is always MORE vaccines.

This is Part II response to the CNN article: Why All The Measles Outbreaks?

*I know this post is long, but please take the time to read all the way through. I have an important message at the end.

Scientists believe that measles can be eradicated by vaccinating 80% -100% of the population. Theoretically, such “herd” immunity will interrupt measles transmission and end epidemics.

A study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association concluded that “immunization coverage of 2 year olds of 80% may be sufficient to prevent sustained measles outbreaks in urban communities”. This is what is referred to as “herd immunity”.

Ok, so are you following? We need about 80% of people (children) to be vaccinated to achieve herd immunity and prevent outbreaks.

Just yesterday (published September 12, 2013) The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) said childhood immunization levels are near or above national targets.

Let me repeat: CHILDHOOD immunization levels are near or ABOVE National targets.

I went to the CDC website where you can look up vaccine coverage in your area. The latest statistics were just published (as of September 2013). My state has a 90% overall vaccine coverage for children. That means 90% of the population where I live is vaccinated. Wa-la! (or voila for the people who like to correct me) :). Herd immunity has been achieved. Right? Or wrong?

We know herd immunity is a myth, but let’s just keep pretending herd immunity is real….

Some estimate that only 2% of the population does not vaccinate their children. Are we really trying to blame outbreaks on the “people who refuse to vaccinate their children”? Who seriously believes this?

“It is preposterous to think that a child who is vaccinated no longer carries the bacteria or the viruses that they have been vaccinated against. If, in fact, children are vaccinated, then why are parents and public health authorities afraid that non-vaccinated children are somehow carrying something that their children are not, when they should feel comfortable that their children are vaccinated? You can’t have it both ways…

You can’t vaccinate believing that your children are protected and then feel that your children are not protected because somehow, some non-vaccinated child is carrying some secret organism that no-one else is carrying. You can’t have it both ways. It just doesn’t make any sense”. -–Dr. Palevsky, board certified pediatrician

vaccineworked The CNN article has too many holes in it: “Among those who have been stricken with measles this year, 92% were not vaccinated or had unknown vaccination status”

Hmmmmm…..OR we could also say “Among those who had been stricken with measles this year, 92% may have been vaccinated or maybe not, we don’t know”.

What kind of research is that?

Back to the Herd

What’s funny is that the “herd” really has not been immune for 40 years.

Dr. Blaylock (world renown neurosurgeon) explains this perfectly…

“When I was in medical school, we were taught that all of the childhood vaccines lasted a lifetime. This thinking existed for over 70 years. It was not until relatively recently that it was discovered that most of these vaccines lost their effectiveness 2 to 10 years after being given.

What this means is that at least half the population, that is the baby boomers, have had no vaccine-induced immunity against any of these diseases for which they had been vaccinated very early in life. At least 50 percent of the population has been unprotected for decades.

If we listen to present-day wisdom, we are all at risk of resurgent massive epidemics should the vaccination rate fall below 95 percent. Yet we have all lived for at least 30 to 40 years with 50 percent or less of the population having vaccine protection.

Herd immunity has not existed in this country for many decades, and no resurgent epidemics have occurred. Vaccine-induced herd immunity is a lie used to frighten doctors, public-health officials, other medical personnel, and the public into accepting vaccinations”.

But who cares right? Let’s just continue to blame outbreaks on the “people who refuse to vaccinate their children”. My question is who is behind this nonsense? And what is their motivation in blaming everything on “parents who don’t vaccinate”? It would make more sense to blame outbreaks on the adult population (who never contracted measles naturally) but received a measles vaccine as a child. Ask them when the last time they received a measles vaccine? Seriously….the herd of adults in NOT immune!

So we preach herd immunity. Our target levels for children are on track. Adults are not. We tried an adult schedule and no-one really complies. So we blame the teeny tiny percent of unvaccinated children.

Questions and Answers signpost

The CNN article says that according to the CDC, “one to three out of every 1,000 children in the United States who get measles will die from the disease, even with the best of care”. Hmmmm….The studies I read show these statistics to be true of children who live in conditions of malnutrition and poverty. Not in America.  I’ve share before how:

“Data shows that one-third to one-half of the millions of deaths in children across the world, caused by measles, diarrheal diseases, pneumonia, AIDS, & malaria, are due to undernutrition, not undervaccination”

I went through the last few years of measles “outbreaks”, and there hasn’t been a measles death since 2003, despite years and years of “outbreaks” being caused by the unvaccinated. Which by the way, do you notice that we are always having the “worst outbreak in years”, every year? In 2008, we had an outbreak in San Diego…this is how they worded it….”In the end, 839 people were exposed to measles. Eleven were infected.” 11. But in 2008, if you remember the headlines, it was the worst measles outbreak. Ever.

The article published last year (2012) from USA Today read “CDC: 2011 was worst measles year in U.S. in 15 years” But now today, CNN runs an article titled “U.S. measles cases in 2013 may be most in 17 years”. Well if 2011 was the worst in 15 years, how is 2013 going to be the worst in 17 years? We haven’t surpassed the amount of cases in 2011 yet. And we are nowhere close to surpassing the amount of cases from 1996. And guess what? Yep, the 2011 worst year was caused by the unvaccinated kids too. Haha! And the 2008 outbreak. And every outbreak, right? Nope. Outbreaks have occurred in populations where 99% was vaccinated.

Read this article, titled “Measles Outbreaks Centered in the Vaccinated: Studies Show Vaccine Is Ineffective”

The CNN article gives no sources or references. People demand that my blog give sources and references, but we don’t demand the same from media reporting. People just read an article like the CNN one, and they are sold on the underlying message: BLAME THE UNVACCINATED.

So is the herd immune or not? How do we keep blaming the small percentage of unvaccinated children on “outbreaks” when the majority of children are vaccinated. It’s a joke. I think we should blame the outbreaks on people who haven’t had a measles vaccine since they were children. Those no-good-non-immune-measles-spreading-x-generation-and-baby-boomers.

Speaking of jokes. I found this awesome picture on the CDC website today. It was published on August 24, 2013 so I’m not showing an outdated picture from the CDC website.

measles cdc websiteFIGURE 2. Number of measles cases (N = 159), by state — United States, 2013*  * As of August 24, 2013.

THIS. These numbers are what we are making a big deal about? This picture is what CNN is basing it’s breaking news story on. Are we serious?

1 in 50 kids are suffering from the largest epidemic in the history of the world. It’s called AUTISM.

My friend LJ Goes, co-founder of The Thinking Moms Revolution, contributing editor for Age of Autism, and Managing Partner of The Misuta Project, LLC. She describes her sons AUTISM like this.

Mine has AUTISMM:
Auto-immune dysfunction
Undiagnosed PANDAS (finally caught by his 6th physician)
Titres that indicate no antibody production for Polio (for which he is fully vaxxed) and “off the charts” production of varicella and measles.
Inflammation of the brain and bowels.
Sensory processing disorder brought on by
Metabolic and
Methylation failure

Many of these children with autism have the live measles from the vaccine, destroying their gut and bowels. Aka, AUTISM.

Not only that, but the measles vaccine caused their child’s encephalitis. You know the encephalitis that we tell parents their child is going to die from if they contract measles? Yeah, that same encephalitis is listed on the MMR vaccine package insert as a adverse reaction to the vaccine.

LJ’s husband Dave wrote their son Noah a letter this morning. It read like this:

To my dearest son, Noah:

Six years ago today, you received your MMR vaccine. That weekend, you developed a 104 degree fever, were treated with acetaminophen (which the medical establishment now admits can hurt more than help), developed chronic encephalopathy, and regressed into autism.

This is what daddy should have read before this medical procedure. This is directly from Merck’s MMR II document:

Contraindication (i.e. do not give this to): “Individuals with a family history of congenital or hereditary immunodeficiency, until the immune competence of the potential vaccine recipient is demonstrated.” = YOU.

Adverse Reactions: “Encephalitis; encephalopathy; measles inclusion body encephalitis (MIBE) (see CONTRAINDICATIONS); subacute sclerosing panencephalitis (SSPE); Guillain-Barré Syndrome (GBS); febrile convulsions; afebrile convulsions or seizures; ataxia; polyneuritis; polyneuropathy; ocular palsies; paresthesia.”

You’re too young to have to hear this but this is when mom and I realized that large special interests (i’ll explain later), in collusion with governments, can and do lie, especially when too much is on the line.

Your mommy and I have said it before and will say it again: Us parents have absolutely nothing to gain in this “debate”. We are shunned by the community. We lose friendships. We lose family. We spend our life savings trying to heal our children. We are made to look like idiots by the media. What do we have to gain?! NOTHING.

What does the medical establishment potentially have to deal with if they have to come clean? What would be the result if they had to tell the American people not only that this was happening all along, but that they covered it up. In other words, what would they have to lose? EVERYTHING.

My heart breaks for you every day. Not only did you not have a choice in the matter. I helped do this to you. Your mommy and I are fighting like hell (awww, daddy swore!) to recover your body from the scourge of autism (yes, a scourge – not neurodiversity) that racks your body and mind every day. I’m sorry Noah. I vow that I will research everything and trust nothing, ever again, until I can look at myself and say, “yes, I have done my research and this is what we are going to do.”

We have come a long way, buddy, and you are doing so great! But we have a long way to go. Stay strong my little warrior. Daddy loves you.

Your Father.

I was given permission to share this story. Because this story above. This is what all of this is about. This is why I care and why I write this blog. Because this is a real family. And that lame graphic of our country above. Good ole America. Showing a few states here and there with a handful of measles cases. A relatively mild illness that mimics a common cold. That picture given to us courtesy of the CDC. It is a JOKE. The CNN article is a joke.

Autism is not. Can you imagine an image of our country representing the number of children suffering from AUTISM right now? The largest epidemic in the history of the world (1 in 50 kids) and we are consumed with 159 cases of measles in the “largest outbreak ever”.

See whats happening is that more and more kids are becoming vaccine injured. So more and more people are waking up to the dangers of injecting children with 49 vaccines before age 5. And the only way to distract us from this is to blame measles “outbreaks” on the 2% of the childhood population that is opting out of shots.

Wake up. Noah and his parents need you to wake up so we can spare an entire generation of children from vaccine injury.

Because that’s really what’s behind these outbreaks and those unruly “people who refuse to vaccinate their children”.

*Since this blog was published 5days ago, it has received over 200,000 views. Please do not write to me that vaccines do not cause autism. I’m not asking you if they do or not. I already know. If you are unsure, here are a few great places to start:

70 published studies showing the link between vaccines & autism. There have only been 14 studies that disprove the link. Those 14 studies have been proven flawed. You can read about those flawed studies (HERE)

*Canary party video that has already gone viral and will soon be presented before Congress. Thank-you Rob Schneider for your voice in this. Watch (HERE)

*Follow THE THINKING MOMS REVOLUTION. These parents don’t wonder what caused their children’s autism. They know. Confirmed by doctors and researcher all over the world. They are healing and recovering their children.

*Ask the parents. VIDEO: Autism Prevention | What the Parents Say

*Read the stories. I do a series on vaccine injured children (AUTISM). You can read there stories (HERE)

*Read the Simpsonwood transcripts

*Read the vaccine package inserts. Many of them list autism as an adverse reaction.

*Most importantly, THINK for yourselves!

Lastly, If a comment is rude or degrading, it is thrown in the trash. I do not see many of the comments, as they are sent to me once they pass approval (thank goodness for a comment moderator). I try to respond to as many comments as I can, but I do not get to all of them. If you want your comment approved, be kind and post something that contributes to the conversation. If you have a question, read the already approved comments first. I’ve answered many questions and your answer may already be there. If you do not agree with this blog, may I kindly suggest that you spend your time and energy elsewhere. • The first time I read the sheet about possible side affects from a vaccine I was scared. It was 1986 and I was a first time young mom of 23; I didn’t even know there was a vaccine controversy! After some research we stopped vaccinating our children. About eight years ago there was an “outbreak” of mumps. I read statistics on the CDC website stating 62 % of those with mumps had been vaccinated for this in their life time. This told me “A” the virus had mutated, or “B” the vaccination did not work for years as previously thought. In either case, would it really help to vaccinate my sons at an age where they could end up sterile from such a vaccination: Our personal thoughts were “no.” About a week later I went back to the CDC website to copy the information for someone, but the statistics I had read could not be found on the website.

      • Information is constantly being removed. Many statistics I found when I first started researching vaccines have been removed off CDC and WHO website. I’ve had to go to the library to dig up old info.

      • Love it, we are a decade ahead of your family , with our five Love babes, and now 7 Grand babes (all unvaccinated) strong , beautiful, intelligent and Thriving ! We had to ambush the meds in the 70’s and 80’s to keep them off our doorstep to vaccination.I am forever grateful that we stood our ground on our intuition , that handing your perfect babe over to the needles is WRONG .
We work in the Natural health field and daily I see the damage , ripping families apart and making daily life hellish, have faith in your intuition and also the perfect body you have been given , let it thrive!

  2. YOU ARE AMAZING. Keep fighting the good fight!! I love your blog. LOVE. I am Kathleen Hallal, co-founder of Moms Across America. My children have PANDAS. Our neurologist is working on an easy test for infants that can ID that gene that says “DO NOT VACCINATE”. We are fighting to get GMOs labeled (and hopefully out of our markets) so that children can have a fighting chance at a healthy diet. Please contact me. kathalina@mac.com

    • I can’t tell you how relieved I am to hear you are working to fight the causes of autism in a world that wants to stick its finger in its ears and pretend autism just happens and we don’t know why. From the bottom of my heart, and on behalf of my infant daughter who will not be receiving the MMR vaccine on time if ever, thank you. I am writing a book and starting up a blog forum for siblings of individuals with disabilities, autism especially. How can I be involved? emeraldtigress@gmail.com

    • My son developed PANDA about 6 weeks after a vaccine. He is better now, but for a while I thought I would never get my son back. He was there in body but when I looked in his eyes, it wasn’t him. His circumstance was a convergence of elements – the vaccine; a mold issue in our home when he is severely allergic and the onset of puberty. I will not give my son another vaccine. Ever.

  3. What a well-written, well-reasoned argument against the biggest hoax of the last few decades! If only those who criticized us “anti-vaxxers” (or people who truly care about the health of their families, as they should be called) applied such logic too, we wouldn’t have the epidemic we now have.

  4. The unvaccinated children shouldn’t be blamed for the “outbreak” or put fear into the hearts of the vaccinated. I feel that the CDC is only highlighting the fact that the reason were are encouraged to vaccinate our children is because these are very real diseases that can cause harm to children. I feel for the family with the child with autism, but there have been countless research studies showing no link with autism to vaccination. People should not make anybody who doesn’t vaccinate their child out to be the enemy. It is the life of their children, not yours.

    • Hello Concerned Physician and mother,

There are actually not “countless research studies showing no link”. There have only been 14 studies done, and this link will show you how those 14 studies were flawed and not valid research: http://www.fourteenstudies.org/

On the contrary, here is a link to over 70 studies showing a link to vaccines & autism: http://www.nvic.org/Vaccine-Laws/state-vaccine-requirements.aspx

I highly recommend reading the book: Vaccine Safety Manual for Concerned Families and Health Practitioners, since that is your name.

      • Amen! Thanks for the great resources!!! I’m a nurse practitioner and have seen countless vaccine reactions (including asthma/autism/food allergies- chronic diseases caused by vaccines)! My 1 year old is not vaccinated, and 2 year old has only had 2 shots ever!

      • I just want to thank you so much for sharing this. I have been given that speech with my own children: “Well, you know…. there have been studies showing no link to autism”. It didn’t work on me because I saw the link between the MMR shot and autism first hand. The note from father to son was especially touching and rang true for me and my family. I have a cousin who was seemingly perfect until that cursed shot! He also spiked a fever and regressed… that note brought tears to my eyes and as I am a delayed schedule vaxxer, have decided that I will not let them inject anything into my kids anymore! My 9 year old had all of her vaccinations extremely delayed. My 5 year old got his shots even more delayed and spread out. My 3 year old still “needs” at least one round of everything, but no varicella, no mmr yet. I don’t ever do flu shots.. I think it’s a joke. Your blog here makes me feel more comfortable with my decision to stop vaccinating. Thank you again!

      • Why do you think it is that out here in the Harvard medical system, not a single physician or scientist would agree with anything in this blog? I’m not being sarcastic, I’m just curious. The first part of this, where you attempt to make vaccine efficacy into a “myth” by pointing out that parents of vaccinated children still fear the unvaccinated makes no sense to me whatsoever. Just because vaccines don’t work 100% of the time doesn’t mean they don’t work at all. Also, have you considered the fact that we started vaccinating everybody nearly 50 years before autism rates started increasing, and in fact autism rates continue to increase even though fewer people vaccinate? What would you say caused the near-eradication of polio in the US starting int he 1950’s, if not vaccines?

      • Well….since you are not being “sarcastic, just curious”, lets break down your comment.

“Why do you think it is that out here in the Harvard medical system, not a single physician or scientist would agree with anything in this blog?”

Hmmmm….did you happen to attend the Autism One conference in Chicago? Scientists, doctors, and researchers from all over the world that confirm this. It might not be what you hear from mainstream. But it doesn’t mean it’s not the truth.

Take Harvard PhD immunologist, Dr. Obukhanych
Recently published a book Vaccine Illusion. Forward from her book: “I never imagined myself in this position, least so in the very beginning of my Ph.D. research training in immunology. In fact, at that time, I was very enthusiastic about the concept of vaccination, just like any typical immunologist. However, after years of doing research in immunology, observing scientific activities of my superiors, and analyzing vaccine issues, I realized that vaccination is one of the most deceptive inventions the science could ever convince the world to accept”

Might I suggest checking out The International Medical Council on Vaccines? The International Medical Council on Vaccination is an association of medical doctors, registered nurses and other qualified medical professionals whose purpose is to counter the messages asserted by pharmaceutical companies, the government and medical agencies that vaccines are safe, effective and harmless.

“In fact autism rates continue to increase even though fewer people vaccinate?”

Autism rates continue to climb and so do vaccines. More people are vaccinated today in the history of the world.

From the book Vaccine Epidemic (which by the way, Vaccine Epidemic is a great book. Released last year. Featuring more than twenty-five experts from the fields of ethics, law, science, medicine, business, and history, Vaccine Epidemic urgently calls for reform)

“Children in the United States today have much higher rates of asthma, autism, diabetes, Crohn’s disease, epilepsy, life-threatening food allergies, obesity, ADHD, learning and behavioral disorders, and suicide than kids did in the 1980’s, when fewer vaccines were given”.

        The current CDC Recommended Schedule
gives 70 doses of 16 vaccines by age 18.

“Despite the highest intake of antibiotics and vaccines of any group of children in the history, our kids are fatter, sicker, and dumber than ever before –Harvard School

        More vaccines than ever before.

I did a 4 part series on polio, where I answered your last question and more. Please read here:http://gianelloni.wordpress.com/2012/10/08/a-history-lesson-on-polio-part-i-history/

    • Concerned Physician and Mother: I read a study the other day that claimed McDonalds was healthy for children. The problem with that study was that it was funded by McDonalds. The “studies” claiming vaccines are safe, which are funded by the manufacturers of the vaccines, should be taken with the same grain of salt as the McDonalds study, since both funding parties are invested in a particular outcome. I hope, for your children’s sake, you look beyond the rhetoric taught to you in medical school and do a little thinking independently. Look at the other side. You may be shocked at what you find.

  5. I am in complete agreement with you. The CDC anpharmaceutical industries have have twisted the truth beyond recognition.

One small point: if there are, in fact, more and more measles outbreaks every year, it would be perfectly logical to conclude, every year, that “this is the worst outbreak ever.” And there may very well be more measles cases every year. Given the lousy diet, the fact that most people’s immune systems have been compromised by vaccines and GMO foods, and the fact that MMR-induced immunity is much, much more short-lived than originally thought, how could there NOT be more measles outbreaks?

Or maybe it’s just better diagnosis.

    • Exactly. And, when there’s only 100-150 cases each year, it doesn’t take too much to be “the worst year ever”. I just love that a 1 in roughly 2 million chance of contracting measles is considered an outbreak or something to worry about, when somewhere between 1 in 50-88 (depending on where you get the number) children have autism. Or that between 5-20% of the population will contract the flu EVERY YEAR, despite all the hoopla over vaccination. Illness is a part of life, and until we push real healthy foods that aren’t processed and genetically modified, and people turn of the technology for a few hours a week and get active, we will continue to see the numbers getting sick grow.

  6. And you want to know what?! Look at PA and OH, what do you see? NO cases of measles even on the map! Guess who lives in both of these states? Large populations of them? The Amish! These people don’t typically vaccinate. And while some may say that this has no bearing on anything, you would be wrong. Sure they live in their own communities, but do you know how many have businesses in downtown Lancaster and surrounding communities? Tons of them! They make most of their money off of tourists. So I would say that whatever issues these states are having it’s not because people are vaxing.

    • Also notice none in Montana ,where there is a large percentage of unvaccinated children because of the high percentage of home schooling families , who do not vaccinate. Also large colonies of Hutterites. Not sure if they vaccinate, but they do keep their children out of the public school system for the most part.

      • My friend, who is 85, just went to Montana to her 65th class reunion where 15 out of a class of 22 are still alive and hardy! They must be very healthy up there in Montana – and without vaccinations!

    • This is a good point! Although, to be fair, the Amish probably also wouldn’t take their child to a physician for a simple case of measles, so there would be no record of the child contracting the illness.

      • I live in Ohio and we go to a Dr who will let us vaccinate how we so choose. In their office they specialize in knowing what those diseases are like (polio, pox, measles because they do treat the Amish and they are always in their office with their kids. So I can assure you the Amish do take their kids to the Dr’s just as often as anyone else.

  7. U know I have a sticker in the back of my car. I have seen people taking pictures of it. It says: “No Forced Vaccination” I imagine people then, post the pic at Facebook and expend hours debating of my “ignorance” and how “I put the whole world in danger.”
    Very well said. Thank you.

  8. Should be “You’re” “Your too young to have to hear this but this is when mom and I realized that large special interests (i’ll explain later),” ** I have a hard time listening to people try to prove a point with mistakes like this.

    • I typically do not approve comments like this, but I’m truly curious. Are you seriously not able to “listen” (read) a fathers letter to his child because one word was not spelled correctly? Or is this just your way of justifying the fact that you can’t handle the truth that innocent children are harmed by vaccines.

Which by the way, it does read “You’re”. Go back and read it again.

  9. Pardon my ignorance…I don’t have kids yet and I keep reading about the MMR vaccine causing autism. I wouldn’t like to give anything to my future children that is going to cause them harm. How does one deal with sending kids to school or college if they are not vaccinated? Thanks

  10. I am a firm believer in not introducing sickness and disease into my children voluntarilly thru vaccinations especially at such a young age. God gave me 4 perfectly healthy children from birth and the thought of being pushed into depending on vaccinations to protect them from sickness, when in fact we know it is literally introducing these germs into their systems, is wrong. My children are all healthy, happy adults now and lived virtually sickness free, childhoods due to good diets, exercise and the peace we have everyday in knowing that God is our shield and protector of our family.

  11. My son went to boot camp at Parris Island the year 2007. We went to his graduation and were swept away with all the emotions that go with a son wanting to serve his country. When we left the base I remember him loosening his belt due to his stomach being in pain. (I thought it was just nerves). We got home and things got progressively worst. He had a hard time eating. But I was told that he would have a hard time adjusting to civilian food. Approximately 5 to 10 days later he had red bumps on his skin. His throat arms and legs started to swell and he was in excruciating pain in his gut. He was rushed to the emergency room. It was there that we learned that my son had acquired Vasculitus HSP…a childhood autoimmune disease. When a adult gets it the symptoms are very severe. There I would lay in the hospital bed holding my son now a man and a Marine trying to comfort him. Absolutely heart breaking! (I am still raw with pain) He went from running with a 10 pound pack on his back to learning how to walk again. All of this is to say that after years of battling with the government to compensate my son for his injuries they have admitted that the disease was due to the vaccines that were given to him at boot camp. ( All this time i I thought he had a allergic reaction.) (Also we will never know what was given to him. There were so many that he couldn’t even remember how many were given to him. And they have told us that they have changed the way they distribute the vaccines ie. further apart. Also you have no choice not to receive these vaccines when you enlist). Last year they gave him 100% disability and a honorable discharge. He still lives with the residual affects of Vasculitus HSP…or is it the vaccines. I have been praying for God to help me help my son. You sweet sister helped me to put the pieces together. And now you know that it is not only our innocent baby’s but also our military who should be in the best shape of their lives to fight a war. Blessings to you and your beautiful family. I have prayed for God’s protection on you and your family.

    • My daughter got the measles from her MMR. She also developed Guillain-Barre and then HSP. We healed her with homeopathy, the same way my son was recovered from autism which resulted from his DTP reaction. If you are interested, contact me via my site, recoveredfromautism dot com and I can give you some information and resources for your son. Breaks my heart to read your story. I know what you are going through. Best wishes.

      • I have seen a similiar thing happen to my oldest son, who was in the military. He had a religious exemption to vaccines from the age of 5 on. When he enlisted he was 18 and he didn’t realize that he could claim an exemption at the time of enlisting. He signed up and when he went to boot camp he was intoxicated with the “vaccines” .When we went to see him at his graduation he was so sick. he had difficulties sleeping and difficulty staying awake. He was a mess for a longtime, and didn’t “recover for at least 2-3 years. The military resolved this by putting him on meds. (which he doesn’t normally take) My heart goes out to you

    • I’d love for my son to serve in the Marine Corp (his daddy was a devil dog) but I’m going to strongly discourage it because of the mandatory vaccination policy. I hope your son gets all the help he needs.

    • That’s odd. My husband is a marine and was recently diagnosed with LADA Diabetes (This isn’t type 1 or 2 they call it type 1.5 sometimes) which will eventually develop into Type 1 Diabetes. They said there is nothing he can do to stop it. My husband has always been relatively healthy and never really believed in medication and felt his body could deal with illness on it’s own. He’s been in for seven year and no medical evaluation has ever given any signs of diabetes. After his second deployment he started struggling with his weight and finally they decided to do some tests and on a fluke happened to discover he was diabetic. Before deployments he has gotten a million shots that he didn’t know all of what it was, he just knew he was told he had to get them. I don’t know if it’s related but after reading your post it just has me curious now. LADA is already an uncommon type of diabetes, but it’s even more uncommon to discover in adults. Prayers for your son!

      • Hi Natasha,

The husband of my friend has been discharged from the military due to the onset of Crohn’s disease caused by the numerous vaccines he was given in the Australian army. He is 27 years old, without a job, in near-constant pain, on meds and without hopes of a settlement to help pay for the lifetime of meds/treatment he will require. Read the vaccine ingredients lists and known side effects available on the internet. Diabetes is a known side effect of many vaccines. Look up Markus Heinze whose daughter was dx’d with diabetes after childhood vaccinations. He has written a book.

I wish you and your husband the best.

    • It’s not just the military where you have to be cautious. I joined the Peace Corps in 97 and had over 20 vaccinations in one year. I am still recovering my health…chronic fatigue, depression, neurological inflammation, nerve pain, sensory overwhelm. etc. Bottom line: never ever ever join the peace corps or military or any gov’t organization.

    • Wow! Reading your post reminded me of something I’ve never once thought about in the 13 years since my grandson was born and who has autism! My daughter and I have talked many many times about what vacs I might have gotten as a kid or later and the only thing I could really remember was a tetanus shot that made me horribly ill when I was 33. Your post, however, made me remember that when I was 18, I joined the Air Force, got plenty of vacs then of who knows what, hated it and got out before my basic was even done! Never had another shot until the tetanus, which wouldn’t have affected my 3 healthy kids anyway. I wonder if any links between military moms and dads and autism has been noticed? These days, lots of single moms join, just like dads have always done but kids with autism might have a connection with what their military parents got before they were conceived? Food for thought!

  12. I love your article. Maybe you can help find some information that I have looked, in vain, for. I have been trying to find how many cases of Autism have developed in children who have NOT been vaccinated. I have a strong feeling it is close to, or is, zero. I could be totally wrong, but I’d be willing to bet money.

  13. Thank You for this thought provoking article. My Wife and I were on the fence about vaccinating our newborn son. It is astonishing how Big business and Government work from the same agenda. My wife and I are 38yrs old, over the past 10 years we have had an awakening to the true nature of big business and government. Particularly in the medical field. Thank you. God Bless.

    • I have witnessed this first hand. I have 8 unvaccinated nieces and nephews who are much healthier than my 3 sons were in their early years ( they recieved the initial vaccines, but we stopped vaccinating them after a few years)

  14. So, you are saying the Salk vaccine was of no use against Polio? I’m reading you right, right? I’m not in agreement with all the vaccines out there now but I do know that most cases of childhood diseases pass without serious long term harm. Many though are deadly for adults especially men. If there was a vaccine for malaria and you are in an anopheles mosquito area, would you take the vaccine? I would without a second thought. Or the same for sleeping sickness in Kenya or Sudan and Uganda.

This article about did not say a thing about the children who were immunized getting the bugs. Yes 12 affected people is not an epidemic. Foolish to report it that way.

    • I did a 4 part series on polio that you are more than welcome to read: http://gianelloni.wordpress.com/2012/10/08/a-history-lesson-on-polio-part-i-history/

Just a few points on Salk/Sabin:
-In 1976, Dr. Jonas Salk, creator of the killed-virus vaccine used in the 1950s, testified that the live-virus vaccine (used almost exclusively in the U.S. from the early 1960s to 2000) was the “principal if not sole cause” of all reported polio cases in the U.S. since 1961. (The virus remains in the throat for one to two weeks and in the feces for up to two months. Thus, vaccine recipients are at risk, and can potentially spread the disease, as long as fecal excretion of the virus continues).

-Albert Sabin, the inventor of the live-virus oral polio vaccine, 30 years after inventing the vaccine, admitted “official data has shown that the large scale vaccinations undertaken in the U.S. have failed to obtain any significant improvement of the diseases for which they were supposed to provide immunization. In essence it was and is a failure”.

-In 1992, the Federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) published an admission that the live-virus vaccine had become the dominant cause of polio in the United States. In fact, according to CDC figures, every case of polio in the U.S. since 1979 was caused by the oral polio vaccine.

I’ve also written on vaccines in 3rd world countries. There is no malaria vaccine and no I would not take one. There are much more effective ways to prevent malaria. You can read that post here: http://gianelloni.wordpress.com/2013/07/25/international-travel-to-a-3rd-world-country-vaccines/

The sleeping sickness in Kenya, Sudan, & Uganda is actually caused by vaccines.

      I agree, foolish reporting.

      • From info circulating on the Net, MMS looks like a cure for malaria. Just throwing in this tidbit for your evaluation. Got nothing to do with vaccine, though. Thanks so much for your awesome work. Keep it up, and keep shining!

      • You are ABSOLUTELY spot on regarding the viability of the live virus from polio vaccinations being the the feces. There was a reported case of a father that changed his babies diaper shortly after it received his baby shots and the father came down with polio.

  15. I just have one issues with this article; the baby boomers are likely immune because they actually got the diseases and had the only true herd immunity. It is every generation SINCE the baby boomers who are not immune and have not been since whenever our childhood shots wore off. For most, that was still in childhood. Gen X are hitting their forties, so that is still nearly 4 decades of no herd immunity.

    • We got hit with pertussis in 2004. My partially vaccinated kid picked it up at school from other vaccinated kids, no one diagnosed it as pertussis until pregnant me started actually whooping, then we realized that the ONLY person in the family who hadn’t had a funny cough for months was my mother, who’d had the disease in the wild.

NOT ONE OF THOSE CASES was “documented” by our local health department. NONE. Because all of them were caught too late for anyone to actually culture them–we know they were pertussis because someone I infected got a culture done and came back positive.

  16. Thank you for your heartfelt, and very well documented article. While we don’t personally struggle with Autism in any of our children, the problem with methylation is a very real concern for us (and so thankful for meds that are helping correct this problem). Keep up the excellent work making the rest of us more aware!

  17. I just wanted to say thank you for this post. As a soon to be RN, the CDC’s propaganda has been drilled into my head from every facet of my schooling. Thankfully, I’m one of the few who is still able to think for themselves and do the hard research. This journey of learning about the real cost of vaccines means my future children will never have to worry about a vaccine injury and has made me more aware of what kind of country we live in. When I see posts like this it gives me hope that others aren’t blindly following what our government tries, in vain, to shove down our throats. So again, thank you.

  18. “The article published last year (2012) from USA Today read “CDC: 2011 was worst measles year in U.S. in 15 years” But now today, CNN runs an article titled “U.S. measles cases in 2013 may be most in 17 years”. Well if 2011 was the worst in 15 years, how is 2013 the worst in 17 years? ”

Because 2013 is worse than 2011, and the last time it was this bad was in 1996 (15 years before 2011, 17 years before now).

    • Well there were 222 cases in 2011 and only 159 cases in 2013. So it’s not the “worst” yet.

But the point is just how absurd it is to keep saying “worst ever in xxxx amount of years”, when every single year there are cases of measles. We are talking a handful of cases here and there. The word “worst” is a lie, dramatic at best.

  19. You may have already checked into this, but I’m mentioning it just in case. 98% of autistic children are MTHFR positive (it’s a genetic defect that has a large impact on how children respond to vaccines). I found out about it a year ago. You can find a ton of info about it at http://www.mthfr.net . To sum it up: MTHFR is a genetic defect in about 40% of the population (fairly common). This makes a huge impact on the methylation cycle (the ‘M’ in the autism acronym you posted above) which eventually leads to the body’s ability to clear toxins (ie. vaccines) from the body. Several people are treating their autistic children using this information. I’m not advertising for them or anything (and mthfr.net isn’t selling anything). I just hope this can be of some help to you.

    • I appreciate this comment on the blog post. My daughter has autism, evident from 6 months old. She had never been vaccinated. The vaccine-autism link is a factor, not a simplistic, every time, 100% outcome. Your reference to MTHFR is helpful to those unaware. Our bodies are complex, fearfully & wonderfully made and it’s just not that simple to say ‘this causes that’ in every single case. Lots of links, lots of causes, lots of mysteries still to be solved. Anyway, thanks for the comment, Jennifer.

    • Yes, I have two copies of this gene A1298C++ MTHFR. i told part of my story above. over 40+ vaccinations and I’m still trying to recover my health at 43. neurological and immune dysfunction. and the best place to get info on methylation and the genes involved (MTHFR is just ONE of them by the way). look into Dr. Amy Yasko’s work.

  20. Found your link from a FB friend…Well done, well written…and the grand has not gotten all her vacs since I started to read more and more…as a nurse, I am glad of my instincts…and my prevention methods with my own…did things MY WAY…and later was validated…if I had to give advice for those facing a procedure..or decision about the medical care in our American Health Care industry…this would be it….

People and children in crisis are just statistics to the medical community, but there must be someone must go home and care for that “unfortunate statistic”….and deal with the day to day…its hard, painful and tiresome emotionally and physically…and I have met many a tired and beaten down Mom and Dad…love the ones that gave me grief…for they were the fighters…validated them, did what they asked..and often the best families I ever nursed for…for I heard them and did all I could to give them what they wanted…God Bless the caretakers of disabled children…and God help them…for often its the first programs cut in insurance industries and federal programming.

    • Another nurse here! I say a huge AMEN to the post above. I was forced to get an MMR or be faced with no job, because my “R” rubella, titers were “low”. As a baby boomer, all my immunity is from the illnesses themselves (measles, mumps, chickenpox, etc.) I’m an extremely healthy 50 something. Back to the vaccination: About a week or so after getting it, I had such bad vertigo I couldn’t stand up. It lasted for about 2 weeks. Then disappeared.

We are required to “push” flu and pneumonia shots at any hospital where I’ve worked. I used to just make a face when I asked people if they wanted those shots, which would prompt them to ask me for my opinion. I would then explain the cons as well as the pros and suggest they do some homework before agreeing to it. Now I am more direct. I say ” you don’t want the flu shot, do you?’. I may wind up unemployed, but my conscience is clear. My job as a nurse is to advocate for my patients. Last night at work, one of the other nurses was all worried about getting the flu shot to her patient who is DNR – dying. This is how absurd and how evil the ones who make the money off this are. Healthcare workers who don’t question wind up blindly following the rules – even the ones who are not good for our patients. I also have started lots of conversations with fellow healthcare workers and given them references so they can check the information out. Most nurses truly want to do whats right for their patients, but when I tell you that we frequently do that in peril of our jobs, I’m not joking.

This will be another blog I will be referring fellow nurses to. Thank you.

  21. Thank you for this. I too have been fighting an uphill battle for my son since he was 5 months old, (he’s now 2.5), when he got a dTap shot and has never been the same. Anyone who has seen their child descend into a strange and dark place overnight knows that this article is correct. Well done, thank you for writing this!!!!

  22. I’m so glad to have found this blog. It’s unbelievably encouraging to be reminded that there are like-minded people “out there”.
Super great job, and thank you!!!! :)

  23. Thank you for posting this! Made my heart leap with joy to see someone speak the TRUTH and send that CNN article to the trash where it belongs. I pray that this article speaks to every parent out there who is searching for answers. And I pray that this will help people focus of the true epidemic of autism and stop this petty nonsense over measles and other diseases that are not a threat to the overall health and well being of our children. God bless you!!

  24. Thank you so much!!! You have validated what I’ve felt was right all along….. I pray health over my babies ever day and thank God for their well being! My heart breaks for Noah’s mom and dad. :(

  25. Just want to add that as I child myself and all my siblings (6) had measles, mumps, and chicken pox. My brothers both had whooping cough. All of us survived – intact. It wasn’t fun, but it wasn’t devastating either. Most of my friends also had these diseases. Honestly, I have never understood all the hub bub. I don’t know that this info helps the discussion. Only to say that while I know that some people have suffered grave consequences to illnesses such as these, the overwhelming majority in my experience got through it with some tlc, chicken soup and rest.

    • You are right. Here we are, all old and still healthy. And not autistic. I grieve for the parents who struggle with what bad science has done to their families and their precious children. My prayers are with all of you.

  26. My nephew was in middle school (unvaccinated) there was a measles outbreak by kids who were vaccinated and he was not allowed to go to school until he was vaccinated. Go figure

    • Many outbreaks happen within the vaccinated. That’s the irony of trying to blame it on the “unvaccinated”. I always wonder too, when people read stories about outbreaks, and it states that xxx% were vaccinated. Hmmmm….why did the vaccinated contract it too? Why weren’t they “protected”?

      • I did mention that to a friend who posted the CNN article. One of her friends shot back the line, “While kids can get things like chicken pox and measles after having been vaccinated, their chances are greatly reduced and in almost every case, they will get a much much milder form. Without these vaccines we run risks of epidemics that can prove deadly.”

I don’t think most people do think about it anymore. The brainwashing is pretty thorough and all that’s left are knee jerk reactions…not thought. :/

  27. I wish someone, ANYONE would start discussing the attack on American citizens for causing outbreaks. I mean I never, ever read about the people entering our country illegally…whether it’s a hop over the border, or hidden in some cargo to be used for sex slavery…many, many, MANY people are coming from other countries into THIS country…interacting and living in this country without going through the proper channels that protect public health. Hello? Why is this not being discussed in all these “Blame the un-vaccinated children” articles. It’s shameful!!

    Great post!

  28. Very nice, however, vaccines do not have a correlation with autism. I work with children on the spectrum and I vow to do everything I can for these kids and my brother (who was diagnosed at the age of 3; I was 4). Researchers are still trying to find a cause for Autism, but they know vaccines are not the reason. If you know someone or have a child yourself on the spectrum look into EARLY INTERVENTION, this is something to consider and has made such an improvement in the lives of the children in West Virginia at the Children of Excellence in Disabilities (CED).

    • I think it’s wonderful that you work with children on the spectrum. Keep up the good work. However, you are very wrong about the vaccine/autism connection. I highly encourage you to follow The Thinking Moms Revolution. A group of amazing mothers who are healing their children from autism (vaccine injury). They recently published a book, please read it. Yes, early intervention is important. So is understanding that autism is medical. And without biomedical intervention, many of these children will never heal and recover. The boy I shared about in this blog is on his way to recovery because his parents understand that is autism is medical and was caused by vaccines.

Here’s about 70 published studies showing a link between vaccines & autism. Please, for the sake of the children you work with, read the studies. http://adventuresinautism.blogspot.com/2007/06/no-evidence-of-any-link.html

I’m not sure which “researchers” you are referring to that are “still trying to find a cause for Autism” are. But the researchers I know. Doctors and scientists from around the world, do in fact know the cause. And these are the same people that are healing and recovering children from autism.

Here’s some great resources for you to get started:

      • Not to mention, who cares if one or 100 studies were done. there are WITNESSES. yes, mom and dad who WITNESSED their child go from normal functioning to autistic RIGHT after a vaccination(s). Witnesses hold up in court as truth. We cannot forget this. too many people focus on studies when so often those “studies” are done by the very ones who profit the most off of vaccinations.

Secondly, there is a gene mutation (I have it and witnessed within myself injury from vaccinations – neurological and immune dysfunction along with sensory issues that definitely fall on the spectrum. it’s called MTHFR and I have two copies. I have a hard time manufacturing glutathione, which is the main antioxidant in the body to detox heavy metals and toxins present in vaccinations. Also, most kids are given tylenol after a vaccination(s). guess what tylenol does? it depletes glutathione in the body.

to me, it is utter arrogance and short-sightedness to claim there is no connection when so MANY parents witnessed their own children go from normal to autistic and THEN search out how to heal with the knowledge that it was a vaccine injury…they are also healing their babies and in my case, my own body…through genetics, biochemical testing, healing gut, detoxing heavy metals and pathogens, repairing gut lining and re-myleinating sheaths around nerves. People with problems in the methylation pathway (MTHFR, CBS, BHMT to name a few) have trouble turning off viruses and bacteria too.

  29. Thank you for writing this. I had a jerk leave a comment on my FB wall about how not vaccinating should be equated with child abuse. I deleted his post, because I knew he was full of it, but didn’t have the time to research more. I was so glad to find your thorough debunking of the latest round of vaccine myths.

  30. I’m pre-boomer by a couple years and don’t recall there being any vaccines for measles & mumps; I just suffered through them all. Just curious, when did the vaccine come along? When did autism become prolific? I feel much better informed after reading your article.

    • Judi, I don’t know if your question has been answered. But my older sister is autistic (she’s 33). I had a MMR reaction when I was 15–I got the measles AND mumps.

I thought for a while that I had gotten the shot late (we’d been homeschooled for a long time, and i was going back to school).

I just realized a few months ago that I was SUPPOSED to get the shot at about 15. Now the MMR is given much younger. So in my family, I think a predisposition to MMR reaction could correlate with a predisposition to autism. Thank God it wasn’t being given at 12 months or younger back then.

My older sister? I’m not sure which shot or shots, but I am sure it was vaccines. Family members remember her normal as a baby, up until 18-24 months or so…they didn’t see the connection till much, much later. It could be that she just had what was THEN a very rare, very bad reaction, maybe to a particularly bad vaccine batch.

I don’t know if that helps…but there you have it.

  31. Thank you so much for this post. Such good information in here…it’s a shame that most people are too stubborn & closed-minded (and, dare I say brainwashed) to accept these facts and delve into researching for themselves. Cognitive dissonance.

  32. Also, I just wanted to add that anyone who doesn’t see the flawed logic in the claim that “No one knows what causes autism, but we know that vaccines do NOT cause it” is probably beyond help. That mindset makes absolutely no sense.

    • exactly, if they dont know what causes it, then they cant say that vaccines def dont cause it. Also there is def a correlation with the skyrocketing autism rates that are increasing every year, with the increases in vaccines that are occuring over the last few decades. I am in my late 30’s when I was a kid I got about what 10 vaccines and back then autism rates were like 1 in 300 or something like that? now kids get close to 50 vaccines and the rate of autism is 1 in 50. how can anyone say there is not a correlation? Though I do think other parts of our modern lifestyle that increases every year could also be causing autism such as overuse of antibiotics and gmo foods.

      • Michele, they don’t say there’s no correlation exactly; they scream “Correlation does not equal causation!” Funny…that logic is NEVER applied when we talk about the decline of polio or other sicknesses. If it happened around the time a vaccine was introduced, bingo–to the vaccine be the glory; great things it hath done.

I apologize for the sacrilegious sound, but really, the fury unleashed when vaccines are criticized or questioned does clue you in to a “worship” mentality.

    • What flawed logic? If, this is a big if, we found that children that get lots of vaccines and children that get zero vaccines both get autism at similar rates , then we would know vaccines are not the cause. But, we still would not be any closer to knowing what the actual cause is.

    • And the fact that statement is absolute means that they have proven that vaccines do not cause autism. Nope, if they undertook to prove it, they’d find themselves wrong.

  33. This is a great article! I have a 10 year old who changed overnight when given the MMR vac. He is ADHD, he had no symptoms before this vaccine. I talked with our doctor, who said that is the typical age ADHD shows up, years of thinking I was crazy for thinking something went wrong ended when a friend showed me a similar article about ADHD. Bless you on your journey of speaking out for our kiddos who don’t have a voice in this.

  34. I really appreciate your articles on vaccination. They are some of the most thorough out there, and valuable for sharing in hopes of opening the minds of the people I know who still believe that what medical professionals tell them is unassailable truth.

I am also once again asking you to please do an article addressing the ways exclusive breastfeeding (or bottle feeding of human milk, either from milk banks or informal donations) can positively impact gut health (as well as a baby’s health overall, for life), and possibly ameliorate the damage caused by vaccinations if parents do choose to go that route.

    Thank you!

  35. When I had my son vaccinated with the MMR vaccine he screamed for hours and his leg swelled up to double the size. Needless to say I stopped giving vaccines to my children and they have never suffered from the lack of vaccinations. I was one of the lucky ones in that my son recovered and did not have (I hope, he is 21 now) lasting side effects. It is a shame that parents are so trusting and naive (I was one but woke up) that they don’t think to research the side effects of the injections being given their children. Please continue the fight to inform your audience. We need to get the word out and hold accountable the makers of this “medicine” that is causing such injuries to the children of America and the world.

    • Because they trust the health care professionals to do what’s right and what’s good for their precious children. The health care community needs to stop drinking the koolaid and do research as well and stand against the poisons that masquerade as medicines. As a nurse, I see the ones that work and help, and I see the ones that “work sometimes, for some people for some amount of time”. And I agree that the Big Pharma is the root of this evil. They don’t police themselves because the bottom line is their only concern.

  36. To be honest, I’m not worried about my own child with these outbreaks (because he’s vaccinated!), I’m worried about yours. I also don’t “blame” your unvaccinated children for anything, I just worry about them. Just my two cents.

      • You’re right – I guess I don’t worry about YOUR children per say, but about friend’s kids who are not vaccinated. This was not meant as a personal attack or affront to you in any way, but to simply point out a different point of view. I was trying to point out that putting all vaccinated families into one big category of “blaming” you and your kids for outbreaks isn’t any more fair than your feelings of being blamed (also ridiculous if people are doing that!). I fully respect EVERYONE’S decisions in regards to vaccinations, for or against. From this blog, that respect doesn’t feel very reciprocated. That’s all. I hope you and your family remain happy and healthy!

      • I think maybe if you understood better WHY people choose not to vaccinate, then you would understand that it is a decision we do not worry about. The decision to NOT vaccinate is typically based on thorough and diligent research that led to the definite conclusion that vaccines are not safe or effective. That vaccines are not a product that “protect” against “vaccine preventable” diseases. If you truly understood this, you would not be worried about anyone (friends or not) who choose not to vaccinate as a way to “protect” their kids. My children are immunized. A great book: Vaccination is NOT Immunization. I highly recommend it.

My children are the healthiest children I know, so thank-you!

I hope you and your family remain healthy as well!

  37. You always write these posts so well. They keep me fired up about vaccination injury.

I so want to get further involved in PROTECTING children from the quite purposeful injuring and killing of them by those that are against humankind!

I’ll keep plugging away at reading your blog and others, plus the True information that’s available…

  38. My daughter was vaccine injured and I am a very strong advocate against vaccines. My blog is http://www.homefoodheals.com. I never leave comments on other people’s blogs, but this is an AWESOME article. You did a great job! Thanks for writing this. I also just started a charity called Praying For The Impossible to help others who are in a situation like ours.

  39. Thankyou for the post…I am the mother of a sweet autistic boy who naively let the the ped vaccinate. we are on the road to recovery and I hope to become an awesome advocate like you in my state in the future to come!

  40. I just wanted to add too, that in regards to the herd immunity thing, that the
US thinks it got rid of polio via the vaccine, when in truth, as I read years ago,
polio disappeared from countries that did not vaccinate against it at the same
time that it stopped here. I am sure you’ve already read too, that most cases
of polio, for years, were actually caused by the live virus that they used to give
children as vaccination. Parents got it from being in contact with the feces of
their vaccinated child and diapers containing this feces were being thrown into
land fills with this live vaccine still in it.

  41. Lot’s of good info here. Thanks for sharing! My daughter had the chicken pox shot when she was 3 or so and developed not only a slight case of chicken pox, but shingles at age 5. Since then, I have had all of my children’s titers done to make sure they are immune, vs. doing booster shots. I have been debating the meningococcal shot because they are at the suggested age to get it, but am now questioning it after doing some research and reading your blog. Not sure if approx. 10-12 cases in our state a year is enough to convince me that it’s worth the risk, especially when the current vaccine doesn’t even protect against every strain.

  42. I absolutely love this article! This gives me so much info and resources to pass on to all those people that are ignorant and trying to prove to me that it is horrible not to vaccinate and that measles is such a tragic disease that results in death, etc. It is so very frustrating trying to get through to these people. Thank you so much for this amazing article!!

  43. You are changing the world Mrs G. Do NOT EVER STOP. Do not stop talking about this. Together we can stop this criminal activity known as vaccines. Your article here is amazing and I always enjoy reading your blog. Thank you for being an informed parent. To all parents, lets stop arguing and start learning from each others mistakes.

  44. Thank you for sharing your story and all the information you have provided. The more and more I read, the more I am strongly considering NOT vaccinating my 8 month old son anymore. I just hope the damage isn’t already done, so to speak. What are your thoughts?

    • The damage is not done, so to speak. ;)
My son was fully vaxed til the day of his 2yr “well visit” when he rec’d his first and LAST flu shot. (and last shot PERIOD!) He reached his toxic tipping point that day and spiraled into the autism abyss. It has been quite the journey-living the past five long, lonely, difficult & exhausting years dedicated to his healing & recovery. But worth every millisecond of effort- for the eye opening & enlightening knowledge gained but mostly bc I now have an extremely healthy and happy recovered 8yo who no longer struggles with the symptoms of vaccine induced regressive autism. Thankful for all the knowledge & truth spread by those who came before me.

Momma Gianelloni, u were not one of those who paved my path, but I want to thank you anyway. U know, parents like me who have lived thru it, feel this innate sense of urgency, this compelling need to tell our own stories, to spread our truth. I find it amazing & remarkable that you dont even have a vaccine injured child but you continue to express our feelings & concerns so accurately! You have never experienced living in our world yet your passion for the cause is the same. You wholeheartedly believe in us, the children we are fighting for & stand beside us, shouting just as loud & proud. You dont HAVE to be a member of “our club” but u willingly joined us…wanting to understand our childrens struggles and face our challenges. You dont HAVE to be fighting with us, but u are. You don’t HAVE to be changing children’s lives for the better. But you are. You truly are doing God’s work.

  45. I LOVE THIS! The point of the post was great, but what really struck me was the autism acrostic and relating it back to gut issues caused by vaccines! Then making you think why SO MANY children with Autism/SPD can control so many of their characteristics with the GAPS and similar diets! (which pretty much includes taking all things deemed “safe” by the FDA out of our diet, ie:food coloring, ultraprocessed wheats, cornsyrup from GMO corn etc) Thank you so much for posting!

  46. My relative, who is a former CDC employee, is trying to make me feel bad because I totally agree with you. I am so sick of people judging me for what I believe it. No evidence that vaccines causes Autism?? Really? I will show you my son’s bloodwork and it will make “the others” shutup!

      • There have been cases of children who were tested for mitochondrial disease before vaccination, with negative results, only to test positive when retested after vaccination.

Mitochondrial disease is strongly linked with autism.

  47. thank you so much for this post. it is so well written, well documented and well thought out! It gives me the courage to do what needs to be done in my own family! thank you!

  48. I have 4 children. I was young when my first was born… and I was dumb. I never liked the idea of vaccines. Never knew why, really. Just a gut feeling. But I was let to believe my son HAD to be vaccinated. I honestly believed the cops would be on my doorstep if I didn’t. And so – he was vaccinated. With #2, I finally got the nerve to call it quits about half-way through the schedule. With #3, I was pressured again & he got two rounds, if I recall correctly. #4 got none. None of my children have autism. However, my 3 older children all had speech delays. My oldest was the worst, my 2nd a little better than the 1st, my 3rd a little better than the 2nd…. and my 4th? No problems. My 1st & 3rd also have concentration problems and difficulty in retaining information. Coincidence? Maybe. But I doubt it. Do I worry about my kids catching something? Sure I do. Do I carry a bottle of Germ-X with me everywhere I go? Yup. Do my kids automatically grab for the Germ-X before every meal? After every trip to the store? After every day spent at the park? You bet they do! Even the vax’d ones …. ’cause there is no vaccine for the common cold… and that’s the one that strikes with vengeance several times a year. But that’s nothing new. I’ve had to have concern for myself my whole life. I nearly died at 3 mos of age from the pertussis vaccine. Could I or my kids get sick? Sure. Maybe. Not very likely. But guess what? I live in America. I have health insurance. I live within 40 miles of one of the best medical centers in the world. Anything the vaccines supposedly prevent would be a cakewalk… a minor inconvenience…. compared to a lifetime of the vaccines’ harms.

  49. I am always deeply saddened when I hear of another case of autism. And it scares me being a mother of a five-year-old daughter whom I have vaccinated and wonder what her future holds. My question to you is how many vaccinated children do not have adverse effects? Are there studies? Thank you for your energy and time in educating the public

  50. I appreciate this fantastic well thought out blog post. I wish more people understood the reality of how much they are being played by the media, the industry and dr’s who are taught to push people into doing what they say simply because they say it.

My youngest two are now 10 & 9 and have never had one vaccine in their lives. They also have never had any major illness nor have they been sick with even a head cold for very long. Their immune system’s work how they are supposed to.

  51. I began my literature review and study of vaccination (I do not use the word immunization since it isn’t) while still in high school over 40 years ago. I decided not to do any of the “required” college shots using my file of information. None of my 4 children were vaccinated nor are my grandchildren and they will all tell you that they were the healthiest students in school. This was a well written article that unfortunately won’t make any difference because big Pharma has billions of dollars to promote their money makers and fool the “herd” of sheep that believe everything that modern medicine does is good for them. I didn’t know that God made us with a deficiency of drugs and vaccines and an excess of organs but that is what we are told.

  52. I couldn’t agree more. This is very well researched as well as worded. I simply do not understand the mentality of those who choose to vaccinate and yet are worried about those who don’t. It makes no sense.

What I would like to know is why some doctors fight tooth and nail, going as far as having the parents sign a waiver, if they choose to not vaccinate. I’d love to see a doctor who is so intent on vaccinating, sign a waiver taking responsibility for any vaccine injuries. Is it financial? Lack of research and not being well educated on this topic? I’ve known an entire hospital/clinic system to forbid doctors to sign a medical vaccination waiver. They sign one, for a completely valid reason, and they loose their job. Never mind a parents right to choose. I find this criminal, not to mention unjust.

  53. This is AMAZING! Thank you for your hard work, providing a long list of resources, and really doing your homework. I am going to share this widely. I really wish the CDC had a map that showed the rates of autism in each state, like you suggest in your blog. However, it is safer for them to hide in the dark for as long as they can, because eventually the hammer will fall.

  54. Fear mongering at its finest… that’s mainstream media and doctors for you.

I saw firsthand my oldest react from his first set of shots at 2 months. It was the worst day of my life. I may or may not have damaged him. Now 6, he was recently found to be severely behind on his fine motor skills (as in less than the 1st percentile), has a diagnosis of dyspraxia, is at risk for dysgraphia (inability to write), has clear sensory issues which come about when he gets overstimulated, and he is being monitored for ADHD.

He had no further vaccinations, and his two younger siblings haven’t either.

It’s called informed choice for a reason and I am 100% happy with my choice.

  55. I wanted to leave a personal thank-you here because before I read this blog I believed that the children who get autism after being vaccinated would have gotten it anyway because they already had it, though the vaccine may have shocked their system into a more serious case. I was already planning to wait until my infant daughter was at least 5 to give the MMR vaccine. But autism and Celiac disease (another autoimmune disorder) run strong in my family and I am wondering why I should bother consenting to it ever. I didn’t want to believe that the medical community was flat-out lying to us about this. My heart is breaking. 14 studies disprove the 70 studies that point to a link to autism. 70! I am so blessed by your diligence. My baby and my yet-unborn children thank you. It sounds so dramatic but I am absolutely sincere. Thank you.

  56. Thank for this article, I have a question. I have up to this point vacinated my kids for no other reason than it was what you did. But reading articles like this and others I am questioning my choices. I have a daughter who is 2, and will still need more shots does it make sense and will it matter if I stop now? For her and my other kids. I plan to do more research first but I would love a thought from someone who really understands all this and I am not there just yet. Thanks.

      • yes, stop now! it does matter. you can reverse some of the damage through nutrition and detoxification..but don’t do anymore. If there was one thing I would redo in my own life for better health and therefore a life as I’ve been ill all my life is to not vaccinate. injury doesn’t have to show up immediately as autism, but as many have said ADHD, autoimmunity, chronic fatigue, IBS etc. etc. vaccines thrash the immune system. keep them healthy and let their immune systems build naturally.

    • Hi Jennifer,

I allowed my first to be vaccinated because I was ignorant. I had a gut instinct that vaccines weren’t magic, but I had no courage. When my child was 6 months I finally said no more. She is now nearly grown, healthy, very bright and rarely sick. Her sibling is unvaxxed and sick even less. I suggest you keep reading reading reading. But first, stop vaccinating. You can always go back if you decide that is the way to go but you can never un-vaccinate if you decide it isn’t right for your family. It took me a good many years to be completely comfortable with my decision, and I was lucky because of where we lived. If I can suggest a book that really cemented in my mind the ridiculousness of vaccinations it is this : Fooling Ourselves about the Fundamental Value of Vaccinations by Greg Beatty. It is available as an e-book and will cost about $10. Probably the best ten bucks you will ever spend on information. Good luck and remember you can never un-vaccinate!

Thank you for the great post!

  57. This is nothing short of brilliant! When I was pregnant with my son, I was told I had zero immunity to measles, mumps, reubella, and vericella. The reason I was given, was this load of crap: “the year that you received your MMR, the vaccines didn’t work, you should have gotten another one when your got your high school booster shot. It’s your schools fault”. After he was born I was given the MMR vaccine, even though I said I didn’t want it. I was sick for weeks. I’m sad to say that my son has been given vaccines because at the time I didn’t know better :(. Because at the pressure of my husband and our families, I didn’t want to get anyone upset. Now that I have researched, and everyone has seen what I was like for weeks after my vaccine, they no longer question my decisions. He will receive no further vaccines, and any future children won’t be vaccinated either. Thank you for this article:)

  58. There are so many things that set our children up to become enslaved in the sick-care system, and vaccinations are one of them. I “woke up” half-way through my childbearing time, so some of my children have at least partial vaccines, and it is one of the things I regret most as a mother. The children who are vaccinated routinely get sick more often than those who aren’t. And yes, one of my unvaxed kids did get Pertussis a couple of years ago, and yes-it was no walk in the park. But he is OK, and he is healthy and strong.

As a Holistic Nutritionist, I work with mothers whose children are on the Autism Spectrum, and help with detox and dietary support for these special children. There is no question that Autism is related to issues of blood-brain barrier permeability, and heavy metals.

Thank you for this well-read, and thoughtful post!

  59. Vaccines I received when i was 12 caused a regressive gene to activate which resulted in an autoimmune disorder that kills 95% of children before the age of 5. of the remaining 5%, 90% of those die before age 35. yeah, great odds there. so, for protection from the flu and STD’s when I was 12, i now get to experience a deadly and degenerative auto-immune disease. thanks media and the CDC, you really know how to decimate a population.

Vaccines simply help people become carriers of the things they are vaccinated against. if anything, vaccinated should be worried the vaccinated will shed the disease onto them.

  60. Thank you for posting this article. You are incredibly brave for being so open about your opinions and choices. I know personally how difficult it can be to be a “different” thinker, and simply to have different opinions.

My mom made choices which seem incredibly similar to the choices that you are making for your family and every day I thank her for those choices. She’s also a big fan of young living, dr. Shultz and of course many other supplements, etc. It’s just kind of neat to see.

My husband is a medical student- so imagine how difficult things can be for me. I support him because I know it’s what he wants to do, but he and I have some very different opinions when it comes to the different topics which can be difficult, sometimes. BUT, we make it work. He uses a lot of the supplements that I use, and seems to respond quite well from them, better than traditional medicines, usually, too.

As he is a medical student we are part of a large community of his classmates and people have been posting about the measles outbreaks for days now and it makes me so sad that so many people in this community say exactly this: “Parents who do not immunize their children make me sick,” or, “it is because of the parents who do not immunize their children that this outbreak has occurred,” Ugh. It’s so frustrating that these incredibly educated people can be so ignorant too. Blind faith is something that people cannot have when it comes to these things.

Long enough.. Keep up the good work!

  61. Bravo!! My children (now 20 and 18) were never vaccinated but I have had several heated discussions with other mothers over the years who thought I should be locked up for “endangering” their vaccinated children. Besides avoiding the possibility of autism, my children were rarely ever sick growing up. I attribute that to organic eating and not vaccinating. I know of several people who have minimized the symptoms of autism in their children by detoxifying their bodies, changing their diets and providing nutrient dense supplements. Keep up the good work and to all who are suffering, never give up. There is hope.

  62. I am posting this article to my wall. I have always heard the criticisms and comments for not vaccinating. I do all research and I wonder why I have to do it for everyone else. We are responsible for these little bodies and the choices they cannot make for themselves. Bravo to your blog.

  63. My oldest son got his mmr shot within two days he got measles, he had to be hospitalized. They told it is very very rare that a child get measles that bad from the shot. They can how ever get slight cases. After he was treated and recovered, that’s when he started to regress. Ever since then he has never been the same. both my daughter received it, my oldest has stomach problem, and the other has none. My now 3 year old received his mmr shot, he did not get measles, but he shows signs of autism. I was stupid, I have done a lot of research, and my 1 year old will not receive his vaccine. My 1 year old son is not behind in any way he actually started walking at 9 months. For me refusing it to the doctor is a hard fight , but I am sticking with it. I was told by my mom and seen the research, when I was vaccinated with the mmr I got measles and had to be hospitalized, it was one of the worst cases they had ever seen and the child lived. There are pictures of me in medical journals, and them describing the measles, but not that the vaccine gave it to me. The doctors make you feel stupid and kind of force you in to it with all their talk. My friend calls me stupid because I am refusing for my youngest. If you look at the Amish population 0% has autism, 0% got vaccinated, and they have smaller numbers that even got measles in the last decade, if any. And their survival rate is greater than the population that are vaccinated.

    • Oh, Angela, I am sorry for what your family has been through. May I encourage you to find a new pediatrician, one that is supportive of parental choice? And to consider how often you really need to be in the doctor’s office if you aren’t getting shots? I have friends that don’t/ didn’t do routine “well-baby” visits because when not vaccinating, there was no point. Please ask around in your area to find a kind, respectful doctor. Best wishes!

  64. My daughter never had the MMR vaccination but did have the DTP and also the hepatitis B. she had toxic reactions with both sets of shots and since the 4 month shots, she has never been the same. I am so grateful to have found your blog. I’m about to pour into it and learn as much as I can! We currently have her on the GAPS diet in hopes of helping her to recover from the damage of the shots.

    • You should check out Dr. Amy Yasko’s work too. GAPS did not work for me due to it being high histamine (not related to Dr. Yasko’s work, but an aside note). She is helping many heal from autism and adults like me heal.

  65. I agree with so much of this article! The only comment I’d like to make is that many baby boomers had measles naturally and therefore have naturally acquired immunity from measles instead of artificially induced vaccinations that lose their efficiency, if it ever existed.

  66. My wife sent me this blog as we have young children and I enjoyed a lot of the points it made. I am not really 100% convinced either way, however I am leaning towards no vaccines or at least a very reduced schedule of them. I just want to point out a few things with your piece.

I make these comments out of hope that more people on this side of the argument can write articles and blogs that are less emotional and more catering to those that you would maybe want to help sway. If you were just looking to write a ra ra piece to rally those who already believe the same as you, then feel free to disregard. However, if you are truly trying to change minds, please consider revising some of this blog. Many parts of it come across with an attitude that I feel will turn off those who have no formed opinion or are on the other side. You have a lot of good points in this blog and I appreciate your research and time taken to dig up the information.

    • I did not approve most of your comment as to stick to the point. It seems that while you agree with the content, you do not agree with the “tone” or my writing style. I respect that. Might I suggest that you research elsewhere. I am not trying to “change peoples minds”. I write from my heart about the topics that I am passionate about. Perhaps you would like to learn from peer reviewed published studies or research books. I’ve logged in about 5,000 hours researching that way.

However, this is a personal blog.

I am a mother of 5 children. They are all healthy. I am very thankful for that.

However, I work within a very large community of vaccine injured children. Their stories are heart wrenching. Thousands and thousands and thousands of the same story. Many of them personal friends. When I wake up to my friend Dave’s letter to his son Noah and then I read an article like CNN trying to blame a measles outbreak on the “unvaccinated”, a righteous anger takes over. I’m glad my posts come across this way. I hope more people get mad enough about what is happening to an entire generation of children and write posts like mine.

I have been researching vaccines for 8 years and have written over 100 blog posts. I have many other non-emotional pieces. But honestly, I’m glad I’m passionate enough to fight for truth. Because this isn’t exactly a fun topic to tackle.

      • Thank you, thank you, thank you. I too talk and post about this constantly–I have to not let it become an unhealthy obsession (clearly, since this is probably comment #7 on here!). But what is disheartening to me is when loved ones KNOW (or probably strongly suspect, if they let themselves) that I am telling the truth, and everyone wants to pussyfoot and dance around it with talk about being “compassionate” and “not making people feel judged” (as if “judged” is an actual feeling), and how people can reasonably differ. Once you pull back the curtain on this whole mess and see what is going on, you get angry.
I’m furious when I think about people calmly discussing how there’s no proof of any link to autism, people who know NOTHING about what it’s like to live with someone with severe aggression/ screaming/ rage issues who as an ADULT can almost never be taken out of the house. I am deeply saddened for parents who just become resigned to this as their lot in life: beaten down emotionally, isolated, sometimes beaten up physically. I’m angry that when babies die from the Hep B shot or someone loses TWO children at once from the polio vaccine, it’s chalked up to “God’s will” or something like that and that’s the end of it. God’s not the one publishing these lies. I think God is angry too. And there WILL be a day of reckoning.
I think others who are resigned (including those suffering and beaten down) think that my anger is wrong. I think the only way to not be angry is to just give up. Thank you, thank you for your righteous anger. Hugs from afar (actually, I don’t know how far :) ).

  67. If 100% of the worldwide population stopped receiving vaccinations effective today what would be your thoughts on how to prevent communicable diseases?

I am concerned about the effects of vaccines on my children, but I am also concerned about communicable diseases if there were no vaccinations. I am not aware of any other way to prevent an outbreak of communicable diseases other than vaccinations. Even though there are small outbreaks around our country there have not been any massive epidemics that I am aware of since we started vaccinating for these diseases as a society. And yes many children who contract these disease do not die and are fine, but children do die from these disease every year and I do not want my child to be in that percentage.

Maybe I misunderstood and you are not calling for an eradication of vaccines but better government regulation and information to the public? I just think it is important to think about the possibilities if everyone stopped vaccinating their children because the results of that could be devastating as well.

    • Vaccines are not the only way to protect against communicable diseases.

Communicable diseases are not a death sentence. There are many more manmade diseases (cancer, etc…) in which there is no vaccine for and much more of a threat.

Many of the vaccines we give children are not for communicable diseases. We have vaccines for ear infections and diarrhea now.

The concern for many people is how MANY shots in such a short amount of time. Newborn babies receive a Hep B vaccine within hours after being born for a disease they have no way of contracting (if mother is properly screened, etc..) and children now receive 49 vaccines before age 5.

Better regulation and information to the public would be a great place to start. Unfortunately, vaccines are held to no accountability. Read this piece. http://thinkingmomsrevolution.com/unavoidably-unsafe/

      • Thanks for your insight. I do agree the number of shots children receive is concerning.

Vaccines are researched for an average of 15 years before being approved for use. Medical research trials are conducted in a series of stages. Once safety is proven, the vaccine is tested in several thousand volunteers to make sure the vaccine actually works. These volunteers are followed for at least one year to be sure there are no serious side effects. The research trials that occur before licensing have rigid standards. Thousands of vaccines do not make it through the research stage of development

I work in the area of clinical research and have seen the positives and negatives of the clinical research process. This process if far from foolproof of course and no medicine will be 100% safe for 100% of people. I choose to continue in my field of work to hopefully make strides to improve this process and continually call for more accountability. The Institute of Medicine has called for an overhaul of how the FDA works and is requiring more ongoing reviews of medicines and to make all clinical study results public. I hope this is one step in the right direction of more accountability from organizations.

      • Blair, those research trials for vaccines are a joke. They are deliberately set up to hide adverse effects, and tweaked to show higher efficacy than they actually have.

For example, the “placebo” used for comparison is not a true placebo, but anothe vaccine–complete with antigen, preservative, adjuvant, and other ingredients that can cause harmful reactions in susceptible individuals (who are excluded from the trials anyway). So they take a vaccine that has been knon to cause harm to some, compare the new vaccine to it, and conclude, “as safe as the placebo!”

While there is rigorous screening to weed out those likely to react in trials, adverse reactions are buried when possible. Participants who have to drop out of the trial because of their adverse reaction are listed as “non-compliant,” and then their reactions are not reported. Causes of death are twisted in report; girls who reacted to Gardasil with a seizure while driving and died in the subsequent car crash were listed as having died in an auto accident, no relation to the shot.

Since “science” is now so closely bound to both government and big business, it is now as rife with corruption as they are, in spite of the best intentions of most of the scientists. They become trapped; there are many reports of scientists being forced to comply with the corruption or lose their jobs. 2 of Merck’s own virologists launched a whistle-blower lawsuit alleging just that; they were forced to participate in covering up evidence that the mumps portion of the MMR was not as effective as claimed, and manufacturing “evidence” to the contrary.

    • Considering that measles used to be a common childhood disease and now has been relegated to only a few hundred cases at best, I think your concern is perfectly valid. Most of us were born after vaccination had largely eradicated the disease, so we simply don’t know what it was like.

      • A significant decline in measles began long before the vaccine was introduced. And the death rate had declined by 98% before a vaccine was introduced. Introducing a chicken pox vaccine in the 90’s was as absurd as introducing the measles vaccine in the 70’s.

      • I’m not in favor of vaccines, but I do wonder the same thing. When vaccines were created did living conditions and hygiene education improve as well? Was it a combination of these factors? Would these diseases eliminated themselves?

  68. I have two autoimmune conditons. I was diagnosed just three yrs ago. My children are in their thirties. We did not complete all the MMR shots because our youngest developed psoriasis and we felt it was contraindicated for her. A few years ago we figured out she is an asperger on the autism spectrum. My doc says she feels that if they tested every mother of an autistic child they would find they have an autoimmune condition. y

  69. Firstly and foremost, I appreciate your time and effort you place into sharing your experience on vaccine research. We currently decline all vaccines for our children.

But I must say that herd immunity *does exist*.

Herd immunity within infectious systems is an extremely potent *natural* phenomenon which is altered by a multitude of influences.

In the presence of a national vaccine program, herd immunity is purposefully manipulated (protecting some while others are put at higher risk in some cases, ei. chickenpox/shingles).

I agree that there are complete absences of herd immunity seen in several diseases (pertussis, rubella, diphtheria) – but that does not mean it does not exist or has an influence on immune function.

I would urge anyone that is curious about complexities of infectious systems to check this link out for more documented data:

    • I’m pretty sure I responded to your same comment on my fb page. Yes, natural herd immunity is much different than vaccine induced herd immunity.

I’ve written a blog on this very thing and think it is summed up best in this quote from the book Vaccination is NOT Immunization:

“Do not make the error of many pediatricians or journalists who talk about herd immunity as though it refers to the immunity that proceeds from a large group of people being vaccinated. The calculated deception behind this common misnomer is that if you don’t know what herd immunity is, you’ll buy their illusion: that the unvaccinated child can take advantage of the herd who have been vaccinated. This is well though-out propaganda. True herd immunity is a term which indicates that a disease has burned itself out within a population, as with plague, typhus-every infectious disease in history. The herd has become immune. Natural selection. It has to do with nature, not with manmade vaccines. Don’t be fooled again”

      • I’m looking forward to reading that book! Makes me wonder how many viruses we could have true herd immunity against if it weren’t for the vaccines that constantly reintroduce the live viruses (and prevent children from naturally making a lifetime immunity to burn out the virus). My 4yo unvax son got chickenpox soon after starting preschool. I responded to a nurse-friend who asked if we knew how he got it, saying, we hadn’t been around anyone that we knew of, but there were kids in his class that had recently received the varicella vaccine. She quickly tried to convince me that the vaccine cannot be contagious. But I already knew that documented cases exist where the vaccine-strain virus has been passed to unvax people. Whether that’s only because the vax person has contracted the virus and then spread it, I still need to research. But after reading your comment on your polio study, I have no doubt that a live-virus vaccine itself can become a culprit. I’m grateful now that my son has his chickenpox immunization. However, if it’s necessary to send parents a note that a child in the class is being kept home due to chickenpox, why would it not be necessary to include the children who are in the incubation period for a live-virus vaccine? Or expect the parents to keep them home during this period? (Rhetorical question. Just wishful thinking:)) Thank you for sharing your wisdom and research! What a gift you have from God!

      • So I’m curious… if the Varicella vaccine can spread Chicken Pox, what about the Pertussis (Whooping Cough) vaccine? We have a baby on the way and are not planning to vaccinate, should I be worried about someone coming into contact with the babby (especially in the first few months) that has recently had the Pertussis vaccine?

  70. I’ve shut down at least one over-the-top obnoxious pro-vaccine parent by asking one simple question: When was the last time you got your boosters?
Uhmmm… not since childhood and he was in his 40s. So, he’s walking around, just as potentially disease ridden as my unvaccinated children. I told him that if it was so important to him to protect others from deadly diseases, he should walk his talk and get his boosters.
Rather than agreeing, he yelled expletives at me and stomped away.

  71. When I was 8 years old, I was immunized for measles prior to an overseas move with our military family. Within a week, the measles erupted and I was confined to a darkened room for 2 weeks, and my family quarentined (this was in the mid 1970’s) until no further sign of infection was present. The serum that was meant to protect me nearly killed me. I was weak for 6 months afterward. Later in life, I had issues again with immunizations…My son began to exhibit autistic behaviors after immunizations at 15 months old. He is now a teenager, and, while high functioning, is bullied daily by his peers for his differences. My heart breaks when I think that I was the one who took him to the doctor for his shots, and I have condemned my child to a life of pain!

  72. You go girl! I vaccinated my son as per my doctors instruction when he was a baby and he is fine today. I guess him immune system was in check to begin with? We need to research what we are putting into our bodies before following the pack of other uninformed parents. Don’t take a pill to mask a problem-prevent it in the first place.

  73. Great article! Everytime I have to take my kids into the doctor, which I try to avoid at all costs, they give me the same generic “OH MY GOSH YOU DON’T VACCINATE YOUR KIDS, YOU SHOULD RECONSIDER” bull!!!! People truly believe anything the media will feed them because they are too lazy to research and find out for themselves! I will NEVER immunize my kids, and can only pray that they will continue with their kids!

  74. I can’t tell you how grateful I am for this post! Thank you a million times over! I have been slapped over and over again with guilt. “Loving and caring” friends and family have given me some pretty harsh guilt trips for NOT vaccinated my child. It’s finding articles like this that remind me of the reasoning behind our choices in the first place. The worst has been the ‘scare tactics’ that come from not only our doctor (who we have all but stopped seeing because of it) but family and friends. The only thing I keep hearing is that they think that I think that I am somehow better than them for not vaccinating. I can’t even imagine how my not vaccinating my child could possibly warrant such criticism and be on the mind of so many. GET OVER IT! So thank you for taking a stand, for all of us!

  75. Thank you for this invaluable information. Here’s my concern – my son just turned one so I know the first round of MMR is coming up in the next year. How do I get him in school w/o having this vaccine? I live in TN and it’s a requirement to go to school! Ugh. Frustrating.

  76. thank you for posting this article. you’ve taken the words right out of my mouth. my child was developing fine until the mmr shot, FINE! after years of diets to fix his “guts” he’s slowly getting back to a semi normal life. it’s a shame he’ll never be socially where he needs to be thanks to all the shit they put in out shots now, and all the unnecessary shots our children have to get, especially all at once!

  77. Can someone point me to vaccine inserts that list autism? This is the first time I’ve read anything like that and the only thing I found via google was a DTaP vax that’s no longer manufactured. Thanks!

  78. Also, outbreaks are different from pandemics…People see outbreaks & get scared…Pandemics is when to get scared!
Also, we unfortunately now live in one of the TWO states that don’t allow religious exemptions…about to start homeschooling!

  79. One smart momma!👍

I hate watching the news from now until Spring because the advertisements to vaccinate is getting worse every year!

Blessings, from parents that protected our children from ever receiving one single vaccine and are very healthy!!

  80. Thank you, thank you, thank you!! I watched my son regress into autism after his vaccinations. I knew I wasn’t crazy in thinking there was a connection. But try explaining that to friends and family without there being an automatic stigma hanging above my head. Now I’m one of “those” people. Someone who needs to blame something for my sons condition. I’m told its genetic. It’s my genetics that caused it…then why is there no one else with autism in my family or my husbands? Why is it so easy to blame genetics when there’s no history, but blaming vaccines is ludicrous?

  81. There may be a correlation between mmr vaccinations and autism, but I recently watched a video on GMO’s and they are also correlating not just autism, but other diseases well, to the introduction of gmo foods to the American diet. There may be more pieces to this ugly puzzle than we really want.

  82. YES … Thank you so much for giving me even more confidence about protecting my child by NOT vaccinating =) you are a beautiful voice to all the strong parents out there protecting and fighting for their kids and babies! (Momma to a beautiful un-vaccinated 13 week old girl)

  83. As stated previously, I am a health care worker. I have been educated, both in school and out of school, and have come to the conclusion that vaccines are far more dangerous than the choice to not get them. I have not used any for over 17 years, and I have been a very healthy person. I have argued against the flu shot, pointing out that unvaccinated health care workers are not the “cause” of the flu. There are visitors that come in and out of the hospital all the time that are not vaccinated. Many of these indiviudals are sick

    • Last year we saw records highs of flu cases despite the record high “flut shot use” obviously the vaccine is ineffective, yet I was fired from a job I have held for 16 years because of “noncompliance”. Unvaccinated employees are treated like they have the plague, even though we are healthy. Many of the “vaccinated employees were repeatedly sick, and even got the flu. They exposed the patients more than I did, since I never had the flu. Thanks for educatucating people through your blog. Ignorance is a very dangerous thing,.

  84. I had lunch with eight women today, one of whom I just met. She sat next to me and I was as the “group informer.” We had a long conversation about many topics (school, husbands driving us mad, where to get really good cupcakes), but the topic that came up and had interested every single one of us was vaccinations. I am fairly quiet about my opinions on holistic medicine, organic eating, and vaccinations. If someone wants to know, I will let them know.

It turns out that this woman who just happened to join our regular lunch group had a niece who had recently been vaccine-injured and wanted to know more. Other moms started to ask “What is measles anyway?” “What is the one that causes sterility in men?” “Can’t you get shingles from chickenpox?” I was amazed that out of eight grown women raising children, one (me) knew anything at all about measles. By the time we left, each one was eager to learn more, so I emailed the contents of the research that I had done. Which is no doubt minor compared to what you have done.

On the way home, I called my grandmother who is 92 years old and asked her to tell me about these illnesses and she did so. She had even survived most of them — and is 92 without taking one single medication — and still cleans her gutters. I don’t care what statistics show; my grandmother is all the proof that I need that it’s okay.

Bravo for your blog! It takes guts to put it out there. Thank you.

  85. Thank you for this. I have a 20 year old with autism. I fell for the have to vaccinate him baloney even though I knew in my gut it was wrong for him. I’ve regretted it ever since.

  86. I was a part of a mom’s group in a town I once lived in. I casually made the mistake of mentioning to one of the moms that I wondered if my (non vaccinated) child had measles… all of the symptoms pointed to it (in the end, my personal diagnosis was roseola). Anyway, she made such a fuss about it that the entire group turned their back on me, called the CDC and reported me. CDC forced me (after a lawyer and a lot of threatening) to get my son’s blood taken at home. I had no choice. I was livid. Here, the fear-driven, vaccinated group of people “turned me in”. It was horrible. Absolutely eye-opening on the mindset of most people. I didn’t realize that. I was raised in a natural community of people who do their own research and have very little fear regarding our bodies and immunity. We moved shortly thereafter. :-)
    Thanks for posting this. :-)

    • Obviously, these women went too far. But, if I thought my child might have measles I would get her tested before bringing her around other children. Infants can die from measles.

      • This is a good point. Those of us who are smart enough to avoid further vaccines also have to be smart enough to NOT bring our ill children in contact with others. The irony is that most of the vaxed population pops pills and goes to work, shop, and play in the community, spreading THEIR germs as they go.

    • Those who do not learn from history are condemned to repeat it.

Do some reading about how previously friendly neighbors turned in their Jewish friends to the nazis. You just experienced the same thing on a different scale. Human nature doesn’t change; people are out for themselves, join whichever pack they think will guarantee their survival, and turn on each other. A lifetime of propaganda is very, very difficult to overcome. We’re up against that, and the fact that Big Pharma has hired the most brilliant marketing minds for a long time now.

  87. So I need clarifiction on something – do all the studies you’ve researched solely blame the MMR vaccine, or is it all vaccines that are attributed to leading to autism? My son has already had all his 1st year immunizations, but now I’m freaking out just a tad b/c I’m thinking these studies are talking about ALL vaccines and not just the MMR!!!

  88. Dear Gianelloni: I too think your work is exceptional and your strength in speaking your truth is admirable. Thirty years ago, I realized my son, Joshua, was extremely chemically sensitive. I knew not to allow vaccines into his sensitive system along with anything else that resembled a chemical and that included food, water and environment. School did not know what to make of us. My job as his mom was to ensure his health and safety. It was a powerful charge and one I took seriously. Children are all very sensitive; some more sensitive than others. I believe our children have come to teach all of us how toxic our world has become. I realized the importance of what Joshua came to teach and kept a diary of his experiences and reactions, and how he learned to heal himself. His story is documented in a book I recently published called, Joshua’s Lessons – Raising a Healthy Child in a Toxic World. I would love to share it with you. You can contact me through my website below. Your family, like Joshua, is a gift to the world.

  89. Loved this!! =) We have not vaccinated our daughter and have been feeling the pressure of being a ‘non vaccinating parent’ especially since I work as a Nurse. =P
Thanks for writing this!! =) Sharing with friends and family!! =)

  90. Thank you SO much for writing this. I have always been pro-vaccines as I am an RN…but now that I no longer work in the hospital and am exposed to the non-vaxxers and their excellent arguments (which might I say are OFTEN better researched than not), I am slowly starting to change my opinions on the subject. The ability to think for oneself is a lost art in our society and I for one…am glad I am reconnecting with it!!! Thanks again, I will now be following your blog. I do also agree with the many posts blaming our diets and GMO based products….and yes, we need to get off of our duffs too!!! You are an excellent writer, both clear and thorough…THANK YOU for helping take the blinders off!!!

  91. A few years ago, we had an outbreak of whooping cough here in Washington State. My VACCINATED children got it! Last year after another outbreak of whooping cough, the CDC finally admitted that the vaccine isn’t effective. So what is their advice? Get another vaccine…which they admit is only really good for about 2 years. No more vaccines for our five children!

  92. Really well done. Couldn’t agree more with all of your points. I remember having vaccination reactions as a child and am guessing I only did as ‘well’ as I did, because my mom chose to do them individually and spaced out at her/our own pace. I might still wish she hadn’t done them at all, but oh well. We have a family history beyond my own- the worst so far was my mother’s cousin’s baby at 6mos developed diabetes after her kidneys shut down from the dpt. (My own cousin’s baby recently had a reaction that put her in the ER, as well.) Knowing this family history helped me at first insist my first baby not get vaccinated until 6 months(believing at the time my antibodies via breastmilk were enough). I was harassed into getting her 2mo shots done anyways, except the whooping cough. Thankfully, due to stupidity on their part in cancelling future appointments or standing us up repeatedly, I was given time to research more and opt to delay longer(and stand stronger). Eventually I decided not to do them at all.

All this was leading up to my second born. We had IV antibiotics in labor with him. They insisted there would be no risk to my son, though my husband is allergic to penicillin. At 6mos we discovered he is indeed allergic like his father. My son is now 3 1/2, and I’ve spent the last year and a half trying to heal the damage to his gut. I’m so thankful he was my second. I was armed with better info in so many things, breastfeeding being one of them- where I had not been successful with my first. We nursed until he chose to wean at 17mos due to my 3rd pregnancy. He never had rice cereal. He had no vaccinations at all. And yet he has 126 known food intolerances and sensitivities. He probably could be diagnosed SPD, but would be minor. But what is important is he does not have autism, seizures, or anything else at this time(aside from chronic inflammation which is obviously still a problem we are working on).

I believe if I’d have vaccinated him while breastfeeding, he would be on the spectrum.
I believe if I’d have vaccinated him without breastfeeding, he would have died.

Some might say that sounds dramatic or exaggerated, but I’ve seen the effects of his damaged gut even with all the good things we knew better how to do the second time around.

  93. Pertussis is another of those vaccines that harm. Also it is a voluntary procedure!!!!! If your child comes up with an illness associated with a vaccine you will get nothing from the government(SSI) for your child!!!!! To opt out you can tell the schools and they have to red flag your child for these diseases and send them home if there is an outbreak!!!!! They have to provide the work and a tutor if needed!!!! Stand up for your rights and do not let them intimidate you into complying with a VOLUNTARY PROGRAM!!!!! I know I have done this with both my children! They went to school all over the country and some officials tried to threaten me and I told them if they do not allow my child into the school and do their job I would sue!!! This is a personal choice for your child do not let the government pressure you there is NO LAW SAYING YOUR CHILD MUST BE VACCINATED I CHECKED!!!!!

  94. This is the first time I’m reading your blog. Thank you SO much for such a thought-out, researched, and well written post. This is so empowering to Moms like me who have already said “no” to vaccines, but can’t always eloquently or effectively explain to family, doctors, and friends “why.” Thank you so much for I’m sure the hours upon hours of work you’ve put into researching, checking, digging, and finally writing these posts.

  95. Happy I followed the link to your blog. I have for many years followed many reports, read and watched documentaries on the negative effects of vaccination. Thankfully, I was able to help my daughter make the extremely hard decision to hold off on vaccinating her first child, my granddaughter, for two years. She was so afraid to tell anyone for fear they (the medical community) would not treat her daughter for anything if they knew that she had not vaccinated. She could not fight that fear when her son was born and now vaccinates only the, so called, required ones. She does not want to, but the fear of that other community drives her to it. This is such a huge animal that has taken over our nation that I’m not sure we can ever outsmart it. I work in the medical field and now if we do not take the flu shot we lose our jobs, just like our children cannot attend public schools unless they received certain immunizations. I will NEVER understand how we can be controlled like this. To say we cannot work if we do not …. is so different than we lose our jobs because we do not work. I so appreciate this information you shared today it helps even this grandma know what I know even though I am not clinically trained. Better, I say, not to be because they seem to be the ones who refuse to listen to anything other than what the medical field teaches. Lord’s blessings to all you young mothers and daddies who have to fight so hard to protect your precious children. One last comment. I HAVE read the inserts and I always encourage others to do the same. It is important, because the evidence is right on the packaging.

    • I understand that fear. But vaccinations are not required for school. There are waivers.

It baffles me how a company can say shot or no jon. I know they do, but how is that even legal?

It’s horrible our country has come to this!

  96. Thank you for this. I am a chiropractor and father of 3 unvaccinated children ( never have had any major illness). I struggle to get Moms to listen to the true story of vaccines but they are too stuck and love their pediatrician. People need to wake up soon or we are going to be in trouble.

  97. Love it. My kids are now 23 and 27. My son had one vaccine. I was 22 and didn’t know risks. When I came home and told me husband what happened at the babies Dr. Visit he said those vaccines are poison ( think he would have to,d me before? ) so a friend told me to read How To HAve A Healthy Child in Spite of Your Dr. and that changed my thinking. I didn’t tell many people as you know the ridicule I received. I managed to get them through school, even Christian school with no vaccines. They are now adults who have never had strep throat or an ear infection and have never been on antibiotics. I love the whole thinking process. My husband and I work in health care. I have since left, but he is still there. Since we don’t get the flu shot, we were required to wear a mask all through out work day. The flu season is coming up again and he is already dreading the day he needs to but on that mask. If the flu shot works so well, then why are they worried about my husband wearing a mask? It is just an intimidation and embarrassment tactic. But he refuses to cave in.

    • Good for your husband! and what a message that is sending, eh? patient comes in for flu shot, but nurse has mask on therefore nurse refused it. Hmmm…may be something there to that…

  98. For all of the information you provide in your blog post, do you have any links to reputable sources? I could be missing it but do you have links to medical associations or universities? vaccine and autism?

  99. I’m guessing these would not be published, but are there any statistics for children “vaccine naive” with Autism? Although I feel there are other environmental stresses (chemicals in our food supply, water, etc), it would still be an interesting number or percentage to see.

  100. Discussions are welcomed. Rudeness is not. When you send comments that say things like “your readers deserve at least some insight into intelligence”, you are not contributing a single thing to the discussion. You are writing a rude comment. How does that provide any insight or intelligence? Might I suggest spending your time and energy elsewhere.

  101. I am totally new to this blog and came across this site from a friend sharing this article on facebook. I have never really took a side one way or another or looked into the pros and cons of vaccinations since I do not have children of my own yet. I have heard the many opinions but figured I would just follow suit with what my parents did… vaccinate. But this caught my attention!!
This was very informative about the MMR vaccine but what about the Hepatitis vaccines? TDap? Flu? and I sure there are many more. Do they all carry the same risk? Are they putting our children at risk of anything other then Autism? Also, if a parent is insistent on immunizing their children is there a safer age for them to do so?
Thank you for the info. You definitely got my wheels turning.

  102. I council many new or soon-to-be parents in my natural health clinic regarding vaccination. I haven’t done an official count, however I would venture to say about 80% still go forward with the vaccination process. The 20% that read and studied and listened and stood up to the pressure of their delivering doctor and pediatricians have never ever ever expressed remorse, but have continued to study on their own and most of them have expressed thanks and appreciation from delivering them from what they considered the “unknown evil.” My brother sent me your link on facebook today. Despite all of the spelling errors, I have to say it was well written. Thanks for the links and the references. This makes it easy to pass on to all of my patients. Keep up the good work.

  103. Hello! Thank you for your passion and dedication on this topic. I see a wholistic chiropractor who advocates your same position on vaccination, GMO’s, etc. I began looking at research as we are expecting our first baby in 2 months. I have chosen a pediatrician who believes in vaccines, but lets his patients choose. I did click on the links you posted about the 70 studies vs. 14 and will look over those. I have two questions: I read recently that a lawsuit about the MMR being linked to autism was thrown out…do you (or other readers) have more insight on that? What proof (or lack thereof) was used for those promoting the vaccine to win the lawsuit? And…are there some vaccines that seem to be worse than others? For instance…dTap, MMR, etc. should be avoided but others aren’t as much of a concern? Honestly…I don’t even know yet what shots are on the docket!! I will begin researching that today, too. Thank you for your insight. This parenthood thing is a whole new world in so many ways…it is a bit overwhelming!!

  104. I have heard so many horror stories about vaccinations.. Perfectly healthy people whose lives are ruined from vaccines.. My kids are vaccinated, but I am so glad we adopted them older, because I would lose my mind if I had to try to take a baby into the doctors and reason with them about why I didn’t want certain vaccines.. It’s already a yearly argument on why we don’t want the flu shot or mist.. :( My daughter just turned 13 so I know her doctor is going to start pushing gardasil.. No thank you!!! Scary stuff!

    • I’m lucky enough (this time around) to be blessed with a ped who doesn’t bat a lash when updating files and I say no shots if it’s brought up. It shouldn’t be a yearly argument with a doctor, nor should you have to explain yourself (unless its an open minded doc who just honestly wants to know all sides). My standpoint is simple. I say “no thank you”, and if they wish to argue or push me, I point out they can accept my no or I can find a new doctor quite rapidly. Thankful, only had to actually find a new doctor for the kids once in the several times we have moved. I also had a lovely fight, in front of students and parents at open house, with a school nurse (when kids were in public school) in AK who tried her best to terrify my teen daughter about the “risk” she was at for not having shots and the “danger” she would be putting others in should a whooping cough outbreak come up…. at least I can find it a little humorous now, LOL.

  105. My mom said that I had the measles when I was a baby and she didn’t even realize what I had until it was over. She didn’t even take me to the doctor! My first child – my daughter, had all her shots until she was 6 months old.. because the doctors scared me into it. I had more resolve with my son and I decided to space out his vaccines. He had 2 vaccines at 2 months old. He had 2 vaccines at 4 months old. After his 4 month vaccines, he cried non-stop for 8+hours, he refused to nurse for 8+hours, and he projectile vomited 3 times. I refused to get him anymore after that.

  106. This was very timely! Today my 6 year old brain-cancer-surviving son (2 years cancer free) has an appointment to have his yearly physical including vaccines. He hasn’t had any in the past 2 years because he has not been allowed to have any at least a year post chemo treatment due to immunity issues (it’s been a year and a half). He has NEVER had the MMR because I have always been fearful of the MMR autism link. For the past few days it has been a battle to get the blood work info from his PCM to his oncologist (who needs to approve of the vaccines after checking said blood work). Hey, after reading this blog…do I really need to wait for his approval? I think not!

  107. I appreciate your comments noting that people DEMAND sources from you, and yet we just blindly accept the words of CNN without ever asking for a source.

    Thank you for this post.

  108. This is wonderful coverage of the Truth. I will be sharing this with others. I stopped vaccinating in about 1995-1996 when a whole slew of new vaccines were coming out and I had a new baby, my 3rd child. I began to realize what was going on. I am so thankful I did. It was later in 2002, when I had twins, that I am extremely thankful that I had learned this because there were high cases of Autism that year (I believe from vaccines). Thank you very much.

  109. This is amazing ! Thank you! I feel so strongly about not vaccinating my kids. I just had a baby 12 weeks ago and am not vacating her since my 18 month old was and he has been sick since. I have 2 other children that I Vaccinated and now wish I never did . My 18 month old is showing signs of Autism and I feel so bad that I never researched anything until I just had my baby recently. Thank you and please keep your blogs coming ….

  110. Thank you for shedding light on this in such a well written way. I am the mom of 2 children (out of a family of 5 children) who both have autism and both of them had serious reactions to vaccines. Child A got the measles from the vaccine and Child B had seizures about 10 hours after receiving the measles vaccine. If I had to do it again I would not vaccinate my children.

  111. So glad you are helping to get the word out about vaccination dangers. I have taught music in elementary schools for 12 years, and have seen that, unfortunately, it’s not just vaccines that can cause autism-like symptoms. We had a little guy come into my class as a 1st grader, “Toby”, as a pretty normal kid: he liked his first year, and didn’t seem to have any drastic issues with behavior or low-intelligence. The next fall his folks split up, and he began manifesting some mild to moderate behavior problems in class. The solution was to medicate him. The result? The poor kid lost weight, gained weight, starting having huge outbursts and became a physical threat often to both teachers and students. For many months he was nearly unmanageable in the classroom and was nearly expelled. He was diagnosed as both behaviorally disturbed and autistic. It has taken years for them to get him back on track; “Toby” is now a 6th grader in a special-needs class, and although he has come a long way, I feel it is a road he should never have had to travel on. I have had him in classes every year, and I fully believe that his autism/issues came from the cocktail of drugs they gave him over the years trying to “fix” his behavioral problems, (which I think were just the manefestations of a stressed-out kid needing some extra love and boundaries during a tough stage in life). I’d be interested to know if you had ever seen studies done concerning the drugs used to treat behavioral disorders with subsequent autism diagnosis. Thanks again for your well-written, and badly needed article!

  112. This has to be, hands down, the best blog post EVER!! My oldest son just started Kinder and we’ve been bugged over and over again about his vaccines. We either have to have a Doctor sign the form or a Church….it is pathetic that as a parent I am not allowed to make this kind of decision for my children. I am one to believe that vaccines and Autism are related. Besides, why the need to fill children’s tiny bodies with mercury, dead/live viruses, and other chemicals?!

In conclusion: THANK YOU!! You are AWESOME!

  113. Interesting read but I’m always left with the same question when reading on this subject. If vaccines are truly the cause of autism then…

    • Yes, tons. Diet is huge part of the biomedical journey to healing children with autism.
      GAPS, GFCF, SCD,

Healing the New Childhood Epidemics: Autism, ADHD, Asthma, and Allergies: http://www.amazon.com/Healing-New-Childhood-Epidemics-Groundbreaking/dp/0345494512

Our Healing Diet (from the following link: http://regardingcaroline.com/scd.html

The SCD has historically been used for ulcerative colitis, IBD, IBS, Crohn’s disease, and celiac disease. These
days it garners a lot of interest and support for healing children from autism, ADHD, allergies, and asthma. In
the autism world, doctors who have patients use this diet report a 100% improvement rate for the child’s
condition. Take that in for a moment. 100%. Where do you ever see that???

A rather austere website has a lot of basic information (http://www.breakingtheviciouscycle.info/) and there is
also a book called “Breaking the Vicious Cycle” by Elaine Gotschall. These are both helpful but IMHO the best
book to read first is written by a neurologist in England who had a son with autism. She has revitalized interest
in this diet with a book called Gut and Psychology Syndrome. Her book can be purchased online
(http://www.shop.gapsdiet.com/product.sc?productId=1&categoryId=7) and is one of the best overviews of
various medical issues and how they can be tied to gut health / gut flora. Medical issues that include ear
infections, allergies, heavy metal poisoning, not to mention autism are covered in the book and can be healed
using this diet. Her book is a lengthy read and she has made some tweaks to the original SCD which I don’t
necessarily agree with 100%, but it is a great place to start. It took me hundreds of internet research hours and
if I had just had this book…

If you don’t want to read a book there is a fabulous 90 minute video of a presentation by Dr. Natasha
Campbell-McBride (http://vimeo.com/10507542) to get you started. This video was the first step toward my
husband not thinking I was on another crackpot “diet can fix everything” crusade. This video + our results with
[our daughter] made a believer out of Andrew. Now we help other children get similar results and we cannot
help but be excited by the sheer hope it can provide a family struggling with medical issues, if the parents are
crazy enough to chain themselves to their kitchen for a minimum of two years. But the hope it can provide is
great and the results come quickly and continue consistently.

There is a certain level of desperation a mother has to have to take this route. BUT it is an effective and
empowering route to take and has gotten me out of countless PT/OT/ST + doctors’ visits because [our daughter]
is falling off the spectrum quickly.

There is also a great website specific to SCD that I relied upon heavily when starting:
http://www.pecanbread.com – this is a website with a heavy focus toward healing a child from autism using SCD.
It has amazing info, particularly the overview page http://www.pecanbread.com/new/aboutscd.html

      • Autism is a spectrum disorder. There are some children that you wouldn’t even know are on the spectrum. If diet could eradicate autism, don’t you think that all parents with autistic children would do this and autism wouldn’t be the epidemic that it is? That’s wonderful that your daughter was able to get out of “countless” PT/OT/ST appointments. My kids and my friend’s kids haven’t been so fortunate.

      • Christy, As I said in that comment, I was copying a link from the Regarding Caroline website. I do not have a daughter with autism. If you actually click on the link, you will see that diet was one part of the biomedical journey to healing Carolines autism. Autism is medical. The children who “you wouldn’t even know they are on the spectrum” are not the children with autism that I know. The children with autism that I am speaking of, are the children who have chronic watery diarrhea, are still in diapers at age 6, non-verbal, screaming, stimming, and are medically sick. Those children respond very well to diet.

The parents I know are looking to end this epidemic and “eradicate” autism, by teaching others how to PREVENT it in the first place. The healing is the necessary part of recovery. But awareness and prevention is how we will end this epidemic.

Because the sad truth is, not all children recover and heal.

Again, diet is just one part.

  114. This was an amazing read! Having two children and being in the medical field myself, it is so hard to tell people i do not vaccinate. I have done so much research and am so happy I do not vaccinate my kiddos! It makes me sad to know how many chemicals are entered into the body when someone is vaccinated:(

  115. I didn’t get to read all the comments yet, and maybe somebody already mentioned it, but why do parents get handouts, or at least I did, before their child gets vaccinated, where on the back it will list all the possible side effects of being vaccinated, even right after the doctor tells you your child should be vaccinated. It goes from less severe like high fever, to I believe brain damage, to finally death. If vaccines are so safe, why even have a list like this? If this is even mentioned, it is because there is a slight possibility that your child may be affected by the vaccine in some way. My daughter had all her vaccinations and is not autistic but she does have a slight attention deficit, which is affecting her learning. Not enough where she would be on meds but enough to make me wonder. My son had his second vaccination when he was six weeks old and had a pretty high fever which scared us enough to make us do some research. He hasn’t been vaccinated since based on this research.

  116. Thank you for being a brilliant woman that can put words to everything I’ve ever thought and suspected regarding vaccines. My husband has a tremor in both of his hands due to vaccines (which was later pulled off the market due to all of the injuries). All my friends think I’m crazy. So articles like this that tell the story in its entirety are so encouraging! Thank you again, truly.

  117. Thank you for writing this! I always question myself, wondering if I made the right decision not to vaccinate my son, but this seriously made me go, a-ha! I will continue to follow your blog!

  118. with in increasing number of “unvaccinated”, are there good resources showing how many children are not vaccinated and what percentage of them have autism? Can we show that for all unvaccinated children, not one has autism?

  119. Are vaccination requirements varied from state to state? Meaning, can my child be banned from public school if we choose not to vaccinate. I have a 4 year old and a 2 year old and we are a military family as well. So, we tend to relocate every 3 or 4 years. What are my rights as a mother? There is autism in my family. My younger brother had a mild type of Aspergers’ and his daughter was diagnosed with Autism at a very young age (i’m thinking age 3 or 4). Thankfully, her mother recognized the signs early and was able to access some amazing schools and resources. My neice is thriving. She is out of her shell, so amazingly intuitive and brilliant. Can someone please educate me, or point me in the right direction to decipher whether unvaccinated children are disallowed from public schooling in certain states…and if I have legal grounds to fight against such policies? Thank you in advance.

    • If you are in NJ, early learning requires a full immunization record including the flu vax. If it’s a private institution, they will turn your child away. Our own public school have non vax kids separated as a few classrooms have children going through chemotherapy and their immune systems are compromised.

      • Correct that a private institution receiving absolutely no federal funding can turn you away (USDA food programs do count as federal funding by the way – I’ve seen some private institutions participate in this program). But that doesn’t mean they will. Even early learning (which we call pre-school in my state) through the school district follows the same state vaccination requirements which allows exemptions. Private pre-schools do not need to follow federal reg’s in this regard. However in my experience I have not come across private entities turning away un-vaccinated. So just be very aware of your state’s requirements and know if applying to a private provider or school you may have to find alternate care or education.

In NJ you are allowed medical or religious exemption. Again, just because they are a private institution does not guarantee 100% that they will turn you away. It is up to them to write their policy.

      • What about doctors? Can they refuse to see you?
My grandson was referred to the only pediatric lung specialist here and they said they would not see him because he was not vaccinated (he was not quite 1).
He is in a practice that is part of the Univ of AL. So since they are a government funded university can he deny seeing my grandson? His parentd do have religious exemptions for their children.

  120. My pediatric Dr tried to convince me to give my son vaccines. I stopped at 12 mo old once I started to become educated. I got the whole “herd protected” speech too. I just wish I was educated sooner so my daughter wouldn’t have been vaccinated. Thank God neither of my children are part of the 1 in 50 statistics. Thank you for keeping me educated!

  121. Our pediatrician has a great video available on loan for her patients called “For the Greater Good”. I was only able to watch half of it, it freaked me out so bad. Particularly the case about the HPV vaccine (an actual case with an actual child!) and the little boy from my hometown who developed autism after a round of vaccines. In the video they have footage of him as a 2yo BEFORE he received the round and, of course, lots of film of him since. Scary stuff! Skeptics should watch this video. I have no idea where she found it but you can probably find it by searching the web. Thanks for a great post.

    • I’m curious; has your doctor come under fire for this?

No matter how scientific the information, anyone who presents information on the dangers of vaccines is absolutely ripped apart. I know of doctors with hesitations like Sherry Tenpenny, Mayer Eisenstein, Diane Harper (Gardasil), and more, but I’m always looking to build my knowledge on doctors who don’t recommend vaccines–and get insight into explaining why most technically “recommend.” (Of course, I do know the basic reasons: money and threat of wrath from the powers that be. And general brainwashing.)

  122. I am a non-vaccinating mom. I currently am fighting my husband’s family because of that. They are sure vaccines will save my child. From what? She is completely healthy.

Well, we, a society that has been cheated and tricked by the government in so many things, believe in them when they tell us to put some sort of chemicals (that no one knows for sure what they contain) inside our loved ones. We are being manipulated by them and the media is a great accomplice.

They lie to us about many other things, why wouldn’t they be lying about vaccines too? Why trust eyes-closed the one entity that has lied us the most?

  123. I don’t know why one even reads a CNN article, especially to assume there’s any particle of truth in it. Same for the CDC. If anything, read with the intent to use either/both as a springboard to dig for the REAL truth (vs the “reported” truth).

  124. Fabulous post! And if CDC believes in herd immunity at 80%, you will find from their charts indicating the most recent immunization numbers, vaccination rates of the MMR (for 19-35 month olds having had at least one shot) are well into the 90% range in most states. No state is below 84% vaccination rate for this vaccine (again among those having had at least one shot…as the first shot is recommended at 12 months but the second not until around 4 years so wouldn’t be included in these stats). Also interesting to note, as there has been a huge push to get rid of philosophical exemption, is states which have very strict exemption rules (i.e. West Virginia) also have a lower take up rate of the vaccine in this age group. I’m not really seeing any trend in vaccine coverage vs. exemptions allowed per state.

  125. Thank you so much for this post AND the evidence to back why vaccines are dangerous! I have been fully vaccinated but that doesn’t mean I can’t turn the tide for my little princess arriving in November! Thank you for making the decision much easier and for the proof to shove in my Pediatrician’s face ;)

  126. I am an adult who had a stem cell transplant this year. After one year, I am supposed to have all my shots again because the transplant killed all my white blood cells to fight any diseases or infections. It’s been seven months and I am doing great. After reading this article, I am very concern about getting vaccinated in 5 months. Does the same risk apply in adults as in a baby or a toddler?

  127. This post is amazing. Thanks for taking the time to write this.

My senior thesis was about Gardasil and how it’s a money making sceme for Merk. It is not a cancer preventative vaccine (that’s just what they want us to believe). And yet hundreds of people are getting roped into getting a vaccine with the highest levels of aluminum out of every vaccine, which is a leading cause of autism, dementia, and other mental & memory disorders later in life. Awesome – let’s sign all our kids up for that. NOT.

I also personally know someone whose brother was given a vaccine (just a regular one we are all required to get) and he immediately became mentally retarded. I know that is rare, but because of this, I can’t believe that vaccines are ever really safe.

  128. What do you say when you take your child to the ER and they ask if immunizations are up to date? I ask because we’ve been in that situation several times, and I hate that question. My daughter fractured her arm- why does the status of immunizations matter? We don’t want to lie, but we don’t want to get into an argument with the doctor when our child needs his attention. Suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    • What exemption do you have in your state? You say no they are not and claim that exemption. they might say something ridiculous to you… but just stand your ground. I know it is hard and frustrating. believe me.

  129. Wonderful explanation. And i feel for your battle with vaccines and autism. I have been working with a few Autistic families like yours using nutritional approaches to straighten out the gut issues and results are amazing. Also I think you would be just the person to be open to looking at my mission 5 million page to nourish 5 million kids suffering from malnutrition. Please give it a look and possibly a LIKE if you are intrigued https://www.facebook.com/pages/M5M-Nourishing-Angels/642632455754762

Chat me up and I will tell you about the parents of 5 adopted kids who started a relief agency to feed malnourished kids some really high tech real food nutrients they desperately needed.

  131. This is one of the best articles I have ever read. Thank you. The more I read the more I teared up because it just makes so much sense and it is so true to my life. My son also has Autism. I’m fumbling a little bit because I’m not exactly sure what I’m trying to say, but really this article says it all. It should be a mandatory read for everyone!!!!!

  132. Oh my goodness! This is soo brilliant! I want to pass it on to EVERYONE that I know!
THANK YOU! The world needs to hear what you have written….

  133. Thanks so much for posting this. I am in full agreement. My son does have autism, but he was not vaccinated (nor was I) up to three years prior conception. We had him tested and he is mercury toxic. All we can estimate is that he got that metal load from me… from my many amalgam fillings and past vaccinations. I had all of my amalgams removed by a biological dentist 6 months prior to conception, but was uneducated about proper chelation. Now in retrospect, its all too clear. My boy is doing remarkable, and recovering as a result of biomedical treatments, but it was not because of what any diagnosing MD suggested. Our diagnosing physician told me our son may not ever talk or be able to be a part of society as we know it. He suggested we sign our son up for disability. Our son is slowly losing his autism (he will lost likely lose his diagnosis in this year), and I am beyond thankful that I never listened to that doctor’s suggestions. And those that are naysayers, live in my shoes for a day (on a really bad day) and you will see that its much worse than any media outlet would paint it. I think what upsets me the most is that these doctors can give all the vast number vaccines, and once the damage is done, they typically leave the parents high and dry and tell them that they can’t help any longer. Additionally, those parents have no recourse…no means to legally hold responsible the manufacturers of those vaccines. If the vaccine manufacturers have that much protection, and can’t be held legally responsible, that is bad news for ALL of us…not just those that are vaccine injured.

  134. Absolutely off-the-charts BRILLIANT! Thanks so much for what you are doing. I am thankful everyday that none of my five children received all their vaccinations and have no apparent damage from the few they did receive. However, my heart goes out to all the suffering caused by vaccines and I try and do whatever I can to share this important message. Thanks for making it easier. I will continue to refer people to this blog! Thank you for the clarity and well informed information! I especially appreciated your facts about the flaws of herd immunity. Again, BRILLIANT.

  135. In 2009 my son suffered from encephalitis at his 2 month vaccinations. I didn’t feel good about giving them but never researched reasons why to exempt out. It turned our world upside down and we’ve become the most holistic parents since then. I am also friends with the women of TMR and Dr. Wakefield, and new friends with Dawn of Home Food Heals, who left a comment above.

The story of my child’s injury is here: http://therobynnest.wordpress.com/2012/11/20/this-is-why/ Those were his only vaccines and very quickly resulted in deadly nut allergies. In May of this year he had his first anaphylactic reaction, which I wrote about here: http://therobynnest.wordpress.com/2013/06/01/when-the-worst-happens/

Count me on your side. :)

  136. Pingback: Why measles shouldn’t make you mess yourself | Ralphie Bird

  137. The current national measles “outbreak” amounts to one school in one city in one county in one state, back when I was growing up and everyone got measles.

When children developed red spots, mothers recognized the disease and knew how to treat it — barely skipping a beat in their household routines. Today’s Internet is yesterday’s telephone chain of information.

  138. This is a brilliant article, and I agree completely. I was born in 1944 and was the 2nd oldest of 9 children. There was no measles vaccine at that time, and it was considered normal for children to get measles, mumps, and chicken pox. They would be sick for a short time and then be immune for life. No one worried about it. They were not considered dangerous diseases, and in my lifetime, I have not known personally or heard personally of anyone who died of measles
What we should be concerned about is the autism epidemic–which is being ignored. Michelle Obama is concerned about childhood obesity (and I don’t mean to be critical of her, but there are other issues that are more serious). There is an autism epidemic, and something like one in six children in the U.S. has some type of learning disability. We are seeing children with cancer and diabetes–these diseases were almost unheard of in children in the past. Autism did not exist before vaccines, and as the number of vaccines given to children has gone up, so has the rate of autism.

  139. Same thing with my posts. I have only posted info and links to websites to lots of research on autism and vaccines and none of my posts have been posted. I was not rude or impolite.

    • Jeff, This post is not asking for commenters to give links to websites for more autism and vaccine research. I’ve done the research. You are more than welcome to write your own blog and give your own information with your links to research on autism and vaccines. If you would like to contribute to this conversation, that will be approved.

  140. This is very interesting. What you don’t explain is how an adult can’t get a job in health care with out the shot. They screen you for it if you don’t have it they make you take it or you don’t get the job. Also I found out that if your child is not vaccinated you can’t get them into daycare or school. So A parent better be able to home school.

    • Regarding school, that is not accurate. You can definitely send your kids to school without being vaccinated, you simply have to sign a waiver. The rules vary from state to state, so depending where you live, the waivers are different, but they ARE available. Some health care jobs accept waivers as well, but not all. That would be on a case by case basis for the employee to research.

  141. Excellent article and I made it through – I glanced at the right-hand scrollbar which was a tiny square and thought oh boy this is gonna take hours! but I see most of the page is full of comments. I would like to comment on vaccines and autism. I had my shots as a child, much like we ALL did, yet we were not bombarded with GMO foods and all the poisons in today’s products (think of fluoridated water, etc.). Now, think of GMO soy formula mixed with fluoridated water given to infants because mothers don’t breastfeed as much any more. In addition, it’s possible that the meat industry was not using all the rGbh, hormones and antibiotics it uses today (and GMO feed), so there are a lot of health factors to consider before shots are even given. it could very well be a combination of things that lead to a weakened system that either can’t handle the shots, which throws them over the edge, or things that work in conjunction with the shots to complete the task of creating the severe health conditions that we see in shocking numbers of children today.

    • I agree that there are terrible problems with the food, some of which I am just now starting to learn about. However, vaccines are FULL of poison–not just the diseases themselves (and a child may be overloaded with what, 5 in ONE DAY of shots??) but with the other toxins used to culture and preserve these diseases. No one has eaten her 1000th twinkie and died a few hours later, to my knowledge (without other diagnoses, such as cancer). No one has had a few too many Debbie cakes and regressed into severe, violent autism. No one has, on day 400 of a steady diet of hot dogs and potato chips, become paralyzed.

These foods will kill you–eventually. And we need to do something about that. There’s a place for that conversation. I am absolutely not exonerating those in charge and their horrible agendas. However, the problem is that the food often becomes a distraction from the horror that vaccines are–“What about the FOOD?” “Some say it’s vaccines; I don’t know…I think our food…” I get comments like this, and it’s time to give responsibility solidly where it belongs: to drug companies who cause issues that allow NO recovery, almost overnight. Even horrible diets can be recovered from, often, for those willing to do the work.

      • I’ve never heard that food discussion has distracted anybody from the harms of vaccines. In fact, most people are aware of the much-believed connection between vaccines and autism, but many people do not even know what gmo food is! And yes, people have died from having their 5000th diet soda. It’s called formaldehyde poisoning and it does happen, but that’s not my point. I’m saying the introduction of gmo products might be making things worse.

In the past, everybody used to get their shots but there weren’t that many cases of autism. Now, everybody gets their shots, just like before, and there’s a ton of autism. So, at the risk of stating the obvious, *something* has changed!

Now, maybe it’s just the vaccines themselves. Either they are using higher amount of virus, or mixes of different virii or more or different chemicals or adding more shots to the schedule or something else. I don’t know, but something I do know is that we now have a lot of new dangers in our diet and lifestyles, everything from fluoride in water to teflon on pans to aluminum in everything to gmo products in everything, to BPAs and on and on. We are literally bombarded with tons of toxins every waking moment and we didn’t used to have all these things. Mothers used to nurse their babies. Now we have fluoridated baby water, BPA baby bottles and gmo soy formula that gives infants 20,000 times the estrogen levels they should have, plus more toxins in the pregnant mother’s system etc etc. GMO products cause severe stomach problems, inflammation and allergies, and they are literally in about 80% – 90% of all processed food products in the store these days. That was not the case in decades past. So, with that level of destruction starting at a very young age or even before birth, doesn’t it make sense that this could be a factor? That someone whose immune system and digestive system is already breaking down, who is having allergic reactions and other problems, gets a vaccine and that pushes things over the edge resulting in sudden, permanent damage? I think so. Now, could a perfectly healthy child living on an organic farm breathing the cleanest air and drinking the freshest water also have the same type of reaction to just one shot? I also think that is possible, but those cases would be few and far between. With everybody being overloaded with toxins and genetically mutated food, it is highly likely that they cannot withstand much more until final breakdown, whereas someone without these problems might make it through relatively unharmed.

If you want to take it a step further, let’s look at glucose. We eat it all the time. It doesn’t cause much damage, even in large amounts, to most people. But, if you take someone with an extreme thiamin deficiency, (Vit B1) and then give him a meal with a large amount of glucose in it, what happens? His brain cells burn out like cheap firecrackers and he now has a permanent and irreversible condition called wet brain (beriberi) and needs assisted living for the rest of his life. So, do some things make one more susceptible to having adverse reactions from other things? I think so. And I think that’s even more of a reason not to vaccinate these days and to take a look at all the possible causes and factors that could contribute to autism (and other conditions), so that it can be completely avoided in the future.

  142. I want to prove your theory correct. My now 4 year old son, was born in 09, he was vaccinated for everything they said to vaccinate him with right on schedule. except for the Hep B that they wanted to give him at birth. He ended up getting that at 6 months. Shortly after He received his MMR shot, He came down with a case of the Measels……….I said but WHY is my child getting the Measels if he was vaccinated, this is Why we did get him a vaccine, so he would not get it. And then not to far down the line when he was 2 in 2011 He ended up getting the Chicken Pox………HMM a trend I see…..Get him vaccinated, he gets sick. I don’t like the outcome. So since he got the Chicken pox as a toddler, he now can get the shingles later on in life…..oh joy. Thanks for this blog.

  143. I went to a homeopathic doctor, who specializes in Autism, they told me they have never had a case no matter the age of the patient who didn’t have a high yeast content. Interesting. Parents should also reevlauate the food sources for their children that is an insidious conspiracy as well perpetrated onto the American people. The Gov., FDA, Medical Assoc. & Big Pharm, Food Corp. making big bucks off of Americas sickness!

  144. My son is 6 years old now. Shortly after his “round of vaccines” right before his first birthday, he got very since for a day or so. Autism set in, and his regression was nothing shy of devastating to us! I never did my research about the vaccines, I knew nothing of Autism, until the diagnosis! There is SO MUCH research out there it can be hard to know what to & what not to believe at times! This was a brilliant blog. Thanks for posting it!

  145. Thank you so much for this blog!!! I’ve spent the last few months digging in, researching, reading books, talking to people and getting my hands on any info I can. And I’ve come to the decision that I do not want to vaccinate my kids. But oh the fear factor!! As a first time mom with a baby on the way, this has to be the hardest decision I’ve made so far (or possibly ever will). I’m so afraid of the “guilt” that would come IF my child got seriously ill from a disease that I could have “prevented”. I needed this blog. Like NEEDED it, lol. The information is concise, accurate and PERFECT! Thank you so much!!

  146. Thank you for all of this wonderful information!

I don’t understand why the “70 studies” are not accepted by the mainstream medical community as support of a vaccine-autism link? I just read a popular book on parenting toddlers, co-authored by a mom and a pediatrician. In the health/vaccine portion of the book, their big motto was “show me the science”, as in, “show me the science that vaccines do more harm than good, otherwise go get your kid all their shots and don’t be an idiot”. Well aren’t these studies “science”? What is it about them that allows them to be ignored? Are they not adequately peer reviewed? Are they not including large enough populations? Are they being conducted by organizations that are not respected by mainstream medical community? Is it really as simple as “these studies support a link, therefore we deliberately ignore them no matter how good the science”? I guess it’s hard to believe that most doctors are that brain-washed so that they can’t even see the other side. Maybe most of the mainstream medical community is not aware of these types of studies, I don’t know.

  147. My son has autism and I can tell you 100% that it was NOT caused by vaccines. There was no regression, rather a slowing of progression, and it was not at 18 months when he got his MMR, it was later.
Has anyone done any research that you know of (because this is just my thinking) that maybe autism is not CAUSED by vaccines but that vaccines set it off, irritate it into the open? Maybe the child has autism already but that vaccines make it apparent? Sometimes something is benign in our bodies until something gives it a kick in the pants to rupture and spread. Doesn’t that sometimes happen with cancers or even HIV/AIDS?
Because how do you account for children like mine with autism? Since that original study about vaccines and autism was debunked (http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2013/07/130716-autism-vaccines-mccarthy-view-medicine-science/) I wonder what life would be like if it’d never been written? Why do we have to blame anyone for autism other than just another consequence of this fallen world?
I believe that my son was born with autism and that it is part of who he is. Who would my child be otherwise? Not the son I know.

  148. Pingback: Speaking Kindly to an Ignorant World | ashesandtomatoes

  149. I – am a pediatric resident physician – have had my heart broken over and over as I’ve stood by multiple families’ sides and watched their babies die.

    • Most of your comment did not pass approval, but since you shared how your heart has been broken over and over again from sick children, I felt like we share something in common. My heart too is broken over and over again, every single time I hear a story of vaccine injury. My good friend and editor for Age of Autism writes: ”I didn’t ask for this fight. None of us did. We followed the rules. Did what we were told. Didn’t question authority. Trusted the “experts”. Showed up on time. Held them down. Over and over and over. Gave the antibiotics. Ignored our guts. Loaded them up on Tylenol. And chalked it all up to coincidence. We didn’t do anything to deserve this. Most certainly our children didn’t either. But I’ll be damned…I’ll be DAMNED…if I allow my daughter’s life and those of her generation like her…to be discounted, chalked up to the “greater good”, and poisoned at the hand of those she trusted without someone, someday being held responsible for what they did. I can forgive. I cannot, and will not, ever forget. And I cannot and will not ever give up.”

So I keep fighting for truth. Their children’s lives matter. ALL children’s lives matter.

Children sick and dying from vaccines is just as devastating as a child with leukemia contracting the flu and dying.

One of my favorite quotes says:
“A false polarity is perpetuated that positions deaths and injuries from disease as somehow more tragic than deaths and injuries from vaccines. These are equal tragedies. No child deserves to be written off as collateral damage in the war on disease.”

I hope one day you can see the whole picture, not just the one you were taught.

      • Hi there, I wish posts like these could be continued, as in, the person replies to your retort. I think this blog is very informative. And you seem to know that many people are undecided on the issue, like myself. I would like to see more discussion and replies to the comments here, I think it would really make for a great place to get the whole picture.

I’ve added a lot of comments as I go through this site, and I intend to go through all of it reading all your posts and all the comments. I’m already gaining loads of new research points from here and loads of clarification on questions I have had.

So I really hope that Laura Brown can give a reply to this and thus create a sensible and in depth discussion. It’s not like we can get this from our doctors or even from any book, as every single book is coming from an author with an already established point of view. That is what I want to create from my research; something which gives an unbiased assessment of the facts.

Where I am now is that I have up until the time I have a child (planned in a year or two) to make my decision. But I’m so torn between:

        a) My instinct which says let an immune system grow naturally.
        b) The problems that not vaccinating causes in the form of hatred, abuse, accusation, and limitations it might place on my children career-wise.

I want to be convinced either way by the end of my journey, but I sway between a default position of:

        a) Wanting to just vaccinate because I have seen a lot of children have the vaccinations and be absolutely fine. (I work in a hospital and have seen literally thousands as I write the letters on children who are said to have has all their vacs. I have seen no ill-effects per se, but I DO see a lot of children diagnosed with autism and allergies) I also know that it could really limit their job prospects – I’m being probed in my NHS job and I’m only in a secretarial role, but I have been asked about what vaccines I’ve had as a child and an adult. They haven’t asked me to have any, and have only offered the flu jab, but if my children wanted to be say, nurses or doctors or healthcare workers, I’m sure they would be pressured to have the vacs they didn’t have as children. Anecdotally, I know a lot of people, I meet a lot of people, and I’ve never personally met anyone vaccine-injured.
        b) Wanting to go with my instinct if I don’t get a final answer and just build them up naturally.

I think it would be constructive if you could add more to what Laura Brown actually said, unless it is what I imagine; she’s seen children with chronic illnesses who can’t get vaccinated die from the common cold or flu. I believe you have already answered this in that you too have seen children harmed, from vaccines.

      • Your comment about career prospects being limited struck me. My daughter is 15 and had her vaccinations up till the 15 mth set and those were the last we did. It was the MMR and we noticed changes that day in her and never had any other shots. She is our healthiest child.
She wants a career in the medical field. Not sure yet what she wants to do but something in the lab, research, nurse practitioner or doctor are ideas she has considered.
Do they ask what shots you had or do they require proof that you had them? Do they have any kind of religious exemptions? What vaccines are actually required? Locally, the public schools require certain vaccines but they are not ALL the vaccines that are offered. I think it is DPT, MMR, polio ..and maybe chicken pox. For medical careers which vaccines do they require?
Feeling sad and defeated that the world can dictate what poisons and chemicals can go into our children and we have no choice. :(

      • Hi Reba,

Are you in the states? I’m sure that they will want her to have all those vacs she has missed for her to be able to work in the field. Funnily enough yesterday my work’s occupational health got onto me about “reviewing my immunisation status” – they want proof I have hall my vacs in childhood, and if I can’t give it (which I can’t because my surgery doesn’t have the records!) they want to take a blood test to “prove my immunity” to certain diseases such as measles and chicken pox. I have had measles and told them this, but they said that does not prove my immunity. I was shocked. I think they are concerned about my BCG, which we have here in the UK at around age 14, and my MMR, which I don’t think I ever had as a child.

They said they may want to give me the MMR, I told them categorically I was having no further vaccinations. I have not been ill in four years. No way am I compromising my natural immune system with an injection. I might lose my job (as a medical secretary of all things!) because of this, but if so, then so be it, I have no idea what harm that shot could cause me and they are mad if they think I am taking it.

But I think keeping your children from vaccinations will harm their career, and it is for this reason I’m thinking I might just go ahead with them if/when I become a mother.

Indeed, I agree, it is not fair that we are medicated by order, this includes fluoride in our drinking water.

I think with the states there are state laws which dictate this, I think it would depend on the state. But I know that in the UK they do require people who work directly with patients to have been fully “immunised” – and now even people like me who work in front a computer and not even with patients! It’s not on as far as I’m concerned, but in some ways, we have to play the game by their rules, that is what living in a semi-dictatorship is about, which in my opinion we are heading towards swiftly.

  150. I have a question. My 5 year old son has high-functioning Autism. He is wonderful and we celebrate how God made him. We did not vaccinate him or our other 2 children. Here is my question: While I do believe there are links between cases of autism and vaccines, I know that my son did not receiv his that way. What, in your medical opinion, are other causes of autism?

  151. This is my first ever visit to your blog. I, like you, already know the truth, but your message is so clear and well-written, it still sent chills down my spine. We need more people who are not afraid to speak the truth, and it is always both encouraging and empowering to find someone with the ability to eloquently speak the truth. Thank you for your passion and dedication to spreading your message! I am so very thankful I stumbled upon your post and your blog.

  152. I am 43 years old and just gave birth to a beautiful baby girl 4 weeks ago. Upon leaving the hospital the nurse informed me that I needed the MMR shot that I didn’t have the antibodies and if I were to get sick the baby could catch it and die because she was too little to get the MMR. I had natural measels when I was a child and I had the 3 rounds of shots when I was 28 years old and trying to conceieve my first child. So I am living proof that the MMR vacine does NOT work and does not provide life long protection.

  153. I’m curious to know if the autism research community has looked into changing the diet and detoxing as possible therapy? From what I have read in my years of casual research is that mercury in the vaccines have caused mercury poisoning in which the symptoms are identical. There are natural ways to detox from heavy metals and toxins. On top of that, avoiding pesticides and GMO’s is essential for the purposes of staying away from adding more toxins while issuing them out. The Gerson therapy uses this idea to cure cancer but I don’t see why it can’t be tried with autism cases just to see what happens. A diet of organic fruits and vegetables can’t be harmful, IMO.

  154. There are some sources that say there is research out there possibly linking ultrasounds, medicines given to mothers during labor and to induce labor, and other such care of pregnant women is actually a bigger cause of autism than vaccines might be. Also, that even if you don’t vaccinate your child, the harmful effects of vaccines can be carried from parent to child…If you have any information on this sort of thing, I’d love to hear your research.

  155. My kids have been refused by doctors offices because of not being vaccinated. “For the protection of the other children”. If the other children have been vaccinated, how would my children be a problem? Makes no sense

  156. I would like someone to investigate the number of illegal aliens (or undocumented people) that enter our country and their vaccination records. I’d predict that many–especially those from Third World countries and poverty areas are not vaccinated. This would contribute to any “outbreaks” of measles or other diseases (and might account for some of the 92% that has unknown vaccination records).

  157. This is a great post. I am trying to get my wife to understand this. I go to a chiropractor that understands this as well. He is great. I even take my kids to him now. Thank you for sharing.

  158. My beautiful13 year old daughter has Asbergers…I breast fed, made organic baby food and did all the right things…after her two month shots, I felt so strongly NOT to do any more shots and my husband did too. So, we didn’t. I have had people tell me she was gonna be a sick child and she rarely is. We decided with my 5 year old that we would not do any. Both are beautiful and healthy. Thanks for what you wrote… not getting caught up in the “you have to get your kids shots” is the one thing in my life I feel like we did right. Your article is exactly how we feel and so well written!

  159. Wow. I honestly disbelieved all the “hype” about vaccines causing autism up until I read your article. For some reason, I’d never stumbled across an argument so well made for this case, citing such scientific evidence and research.
I myself have been harmed by the pharmaceutical industry as a child, during the 90s and the surge of ADHD for children in elementary school, and the consequent increase of “Ritalin kids”. I was one of them, and the “medicine” did a lot to harm my body and my heart and mind.
It turns out now I have a form of mental illness with clinical depression, we believe Bipolar Disorder. I also had bad lethargy, decreased thyroid and metabolic function, and knee and hip problems that prevented my ability to run properly as a child (which I had no problem with before the medication). I have been able to improve my ability to exercise, my metabolism and thyroid, and heart health. Unfortunately, I still have occasional hip and knee problems, but thanks to vibram five fingers, physical therapy, and yoga I can run better now. I still count as “overweight” according to the flawed BMI system, but screw them :P Body positivity and kindness is better, especially since I’m finally healthy now.
Anyways… I have been part of a movement to change the way we view mental illness, and not treat people with mental illness as “stupid” or “damaged,” and for the most part I was resistant to any claims that autistic people were “damaged” somehow, because I have several autistic friends, who are very bright and very kind. Very talented, and very valuable. But I can see now, that just the same as my Bipolar Disorder is likely a result of the exposure I’ve had to medical drugs as a child (on top of other life experiences), it is evident to me that your child’s autism is the result of vaccination. The evidence, as clear as day, right on the labels of the vaccinations themselves, is overwhelming.
I still believe that vaccination in and of itself is not an evil, and can be useful to a degree, but thanks to you I’ll be making sure that when I have children, they are not vaccinated. At least not before 5 years of age, and unless they really REALLY need it because they’ve had an adverse reaction to the flu or something. Besides, breast milk, good nutrition, and a clean environment is the best way to boost immunity.
The point is, medicine is supposed to treat the sick. That’s why they call it medicine.
Forcing medicine (drugs, surgery, procedures, and yes, vaccinations) upon healthy people, especially children, is just plain wrong and damaging. I sincerely hope you and your family are able to heal from the transgressions of this unstable system, and that you have warmth and bright light in your future.

  161. I love this post. Truly. I just had a huge knock out drag em out fight on Facebook with about 30 people, saying horrible things to me because I am a non vaxer for my son. One guy said that “anyone who refuses vaccinations for their kids deserves to have that child get a horrific and vaccine preventable disease”. Nice! I didn’t call anyone an idiot, I just tried to share facts and info. Oh well..
Anyway, I really love this post because I am made to feel like such a minority everyday, and I have living proof, in my three year old son, that vaccines injure healthy bright kids! Of course not every kid will be effected.. Every system is different. Caffeine effects me so much while it leaves my hubby with a casual buzz, and my dad can have an espresso and go to bed!! We’re all different, so why don’t people hear the stories parents are trying to shout from the rooftops?? Why do they think parents would lie?? We’re searching for the truth, not reaching for a thing to blame so we can move on!

One thing not mentioned above that is on my mind constantly is the way our first pediatrician handled my son’s bad vax reaction. We were coerced into giving him a Dtap (due to “outbreak”) at 2 months, and a Dtap and polio at 5 months. After the Dtap polio combo, he had a seizure and totally changed over night. His amazing co-sleeping resting pattern was 180 degrees different over night, and he just screamed and screamed. Of course our call to the ped resulted in *over the phone* her telling us it “definitely wasn’t the vaccine”. Well, it definitely was. She said it was teething or a developmental milestone. Well, two and a half years later and we haven’t had a solid nights sleep since that five month shot. He has rage issues and hits his head on the floor. I don’t think it was teething, doc, but thanks for playing!
Anyway, how many parents have their fears or theories totally dismissed by doctors, and this don’t REPORT their child’s injury to VAERS!??? I didn’t even know about VAERS and did not report it. Some studies claim that there are tens of thousands (or more) of cases that go undiagnosed and unreported.

I just love this post and all the links you offer. Now I know if I get into another debate I’ll just post a link here:))) you say it all way better than I ever could!!
    Thank you!!!

  162. I loved this! I have been upset all morning after reading a post from a Facebook friend regarding how our (MY) unvaccinated children are the reason for this terrible outbreak. Found one website that listed every single reported outbreak and it made sure it mentioned every person that was unvaccinated. Didn’t feel the need to specifically point out the mass amounts of people that obviously WERE vaccinated and still contracted it. It also angered me that, if there was one underlying common interest of the people that have contracted it, it was that they had just traveled abroad (mainly to the Philippines) or been exposed to someone that had traveled there.
I am so confident in my research and our decision not to vaccinate, but just like Noah’s dad said, we are the ones made to look irresponsible, crazy and extreme. Obviously, I love my children more than life itself. Every decision I make for them is made with their best interest and best health at heart. I always find myself wondering why people who have SOOO much faith in these drugs are so concerned with my children’s immunity. If it works…it works…right? Reminds me of the YOUTUBE video of the sweet girl saying “worry bout yourself”. To help boost our families immunity naturally, we rely on healthy eating, limited sugar, vitamin and mineral supplements and regular chiropractic care.
Every parent should do the research themselves and weigh the benefit and the risk. The decision to vaccinate should not be made out of fear and the use of scare tactics in Dr.’s offices and media. And those of us who have made the decision not to vaccinate should not be persecuted for it.

  164. Also, there is the correlation of childhood cancers and vaccinations that no one wants to touch, research, study, or even look into…

  165. Beautifully stated!! My son is 13 and struggles with severe Autism everyday. I LOVE that you are throwing away the negative comments! Such poetic justice for the thousands of comments that are attacked by the cruel, uninformed public. I’m exhausted from this battle and it gives me energy when I see someone write so eloquently and passionately on the subject. Let’s pray the truth really does come out and the medical/pharmaceutical industries get what they deserve.

  166. This post is great! I have long since given up debating with other people about my parenting choices. If they bring it up, I just say “you screw up your kids the way you see fit, let me screw mine up the way I see fit.” That usually shuts them up. ;)

The one thing I didn’t like about this post is that for all the talk about vaccine injury, it only mentions autism, when there are a slew of other common vaccine injuries as well. Both myself and my daughter had muscular damage from vaccines. Mine was not caught until it was too late and now I live in varying degrees of pain every day. My daughter’s was caught very early and so far she has only delayed muscle development in her thighs (injection site) and the issues that came from that. I’m hoping that early detection and treatment will keep her from dealing with the lifelong issues I have. She was only vaccinated up to 6 months, and my son and second daughter are completely unvaccinated :)

    • Such a good point Megan. I developed the measles and the mumps after an MMR revax in college and it ruined my health for the past 25 years. My oldest also got the measles after her first MMR and she developed Guillain-Barre and then HSP (Henoch Schonlein Purpura) which studies have shown can be a latent vaccine injury from MMR. We have both made great progress with homeopathy to undo the vaccine damage. I wish you and your daughter the best in your healing journey!

  167. I am sure there is a very small chance you will get to read this comment, with all the many comments already left. I just have to say thank you. Thank you for being brave enough and bold enough to speak truth. In today’s society, we are regularly trampled on for speaking this truth and looked at like the most horrible parents for not following what the government it telling us to do. I have three daughters and my husband and I had to do a lot of research before our first was born. We both agreed that we did not want to vaccinate our children for many many reasons. I have always fought the system and jumped hurdles to get my children into sports and classes. It is just refreshing to hear a well educated woman with facts, truth and resources all in one place. So again, just thank you!

  168. I’m crying as I read this article and the comments below. Having chosen not to vaccinate my daughter, I’m constantly having to battle with pro vaxers about why I’ve decided to do this. This happens so often that i sometimes start to question myself! Hence I search for websites like this to remind myself that I’m making the right choice. I’m so thankful for information like this and people like you! So thank you. And thank you also for reminding me that I’m not alone and that my (5 month old) unvaccinated daughter is not in fact dangerous and scary, as some “well meaners” have pointed out.

  169. Thank you so much for this. We’ve gotten a lot of flack for deciding 5 years ago we wouldn’t vaccinate our son, and now with our daughter here, we’re getting double. What hurts the most, and is the most frustrating, is when it’s someone that you respect and care for (i.e. your parents and other family members). I have to keep reminding myself that they’re a part of the baby-boomers and generation x that were lied to their entire lives believing they were protected by the very things that were making them the most ill. I just read an article the other day that called us non-vaccinating parents uneducated sheep that just listen to what they are told and do no research or fact finding of their own. Isn’t it actually the other way around though? I always say why are you so worried about your vaccinated child catching something from my unvaccinated child if you’re so confident in that vaccine? Your child is the one with the disease/virus already in them.

  170. I developed encephalitis from my DTP vaccine as a child in 1982. Now with kids of my own, I tell doctors about my medical history, as well as my brother, mother and grandmother all with different immunodeficiencies, no one has ever told me about the recommendation I just read in the fathers letter to Noah. We have given few shots anyway because of our research and concern, but it is amazing to me that with little to no accountability comes little desire to teach or do the right thing. We have had great doctors, and terrible ones, but the bottom line is no one is raising these babes but my husband and I, no one cares about their well being like we do.

  171. I already KNOW vaccines cause Autism too! It’s time we stop arguing with those who have no proof and just parrot a bunch of big pharma propaganda! Good for you for saying so too!

  172. Thank you for your article. I did not vaccinate my babies against protests and many people who shunned my children and my choices..As we went through private and public schools..my unvaccinated children went to Peru and ate off the streets. Went to Mexico andChina. My babies are now almost 19 years old. They are rarely sick and have no allergies … It was a scary hard battle when they were premature twins. At one time the medical establishment threatened to take my children into custody when they were little .. But I never gave in.. I found doctors to write medical exemptions and did what I felt like I needed to do to protect my children …. I have no regrets!!!

  173. Thank you so much for your insightful comments on this issue as well as the helpful links. I appreciate your research–God bless!!

  174. Wonderful…but have you followed the MUMPS in OHIO “outbreak”? 97%,it was reported, to have been vaccinated. It’s getting nearly NO coverage.

    • Hello, that is very interesting. I have just done a quick search for articles on the mumps outbreak in Ohio and all I can see is blame for the non-vaccinated, and some articles saying that “At least three of the infected people are confirmed as not having received vaccinations”

Do you know of any sources you can point me to where I can see evidence of the 97% being vaccinated?

Because I would like to see that somewhere and perhaps post it under articles blaming the unvaccinated.

      • If you check out this article posted an hour ago, http://www.foxnews.com/health/2014/04/02/ohio-mumps-outbreak-grows-to-116-cases-mainly-at-ohio-state/, it states there are 116 cases and “At least three of the infected people are confirmed as not having received vaccinations for the mumps.” So 3 out of 116 is about 3% unvaccinated – 97% vaccinated.

Interesting how it says, “If even one person is unvaccinated we are all at risk…” but doesn’t say the outbreak started with an unvaccinated.

      • Thanks for that, they also say there “we are all at risk if even three are unvaxxed” – I guess this comes down to the argument you put across that vaxxed believe that their vaxes don’t really work! <- the thing that makes their argument fall down.

I guess they’re working on the assumption that herd immunity is what is keeping us all safe, and although vaxxes are the “best solution so far” they do not make the community impenetrable.

I’ve been reading practically all of your blog and have found it very useful indeed. It’s this argument though that is bogging me down: they say no one is truly 100% vaxxed, we should all just work together to keep the disease at bay as far as is possible, and you/we/the anti-vaccine side, say that if those vaxxes are so unreliable then, why have they won over the cost/benefit analysis! <- a great question. Because although the idea they cause autism is vehemently denied, there is no denying that some people will have a bad reaction, therefore they need to have a good enough effect to justify those – and this case makes me think well actually, they don’t!

Anecdotally, I’ve seen (and am one of) many people have vaccinations and be fine. But I’ve read about many who have had bad reactions.

I think the thing that needs to happen is a comparison between vaxxed and unvaxxed populations and their health – though as you say here, that isn’t likely to happen.

Even if it did though, like the China Study – the results would probably be ignored anyway!

      • As someone who developed the measles and the mumps after an MMR revax in college which then turned into CFS, IBS, and destroyed my immune system for 20 years until finding homeopathy, I completely agree. The “benefit” definitely did not outweigh the risk for me, nor for my daughter who also got the measles after her MMR and then Guillain-Barre and HSP, etc. Nor for my son who developed autism and severe gut issues after his first round. It was the late Edward Yazbak, MD who was conducting research showing a correlation between mothers revaccinated with MMR as a young adult having an increased risk for having a child with autism. The damage has been laid down with first generation vaccinated. This second generation is reaping the “benefit” . I dread seeing what will happen to my kids’ generation of children.

  175. Thank you so much for writing this. It is a tireless fight, but we must continue. There are ao many children that can be spared the devestations of vaccine injury. Keep up the good writing!

  176. Thank you for posting this first of all! I have three kiddos and all are unvaccinated. I truely commend you and others for taking a stand and speaking the truth! Making this world a better place for our children by spreading the truth! Bless you!

I assumed this post used to be great. I do not know who you are however definitely you’re going
to a well-known blogger in case you aren’t already. Cheers!

  180. First and foremost, you have a beautiful family. Thank you for posting this information. I wish people would realize that it is the body that helps the body, not medications. Diet is essential to our health. If you have any more links that I can read to learn more about vaccines and what to look for, could you email them to me ? It would greatly be appreciated. Thanks for your time and work with this subject matter.
